And you trip on the last 2-3 steps or so Knocking her out might be acceptable depending on what narrative we want to go with but if Ketara falls on her from too big of a height we risk some serious injury (for both of them)

I hope you can reread what you wrote here and realize why some of us find anime so absurd.

Anime is a medium. Romcom/Harem stuff is insanely dumb just like reality TV is insanely dumb. It's like watching some stupid reality TV then saying "I hope you realize why some of us find TV shows so absurd".

oh snap, it's soniv's birthday?
should do something "special" for him during Iris
edit: oh and hbd son

Romcom/harem are bleh, but that's the genre. Other genres might use those from time to time, but even gun x clover, which I guess is a harem, doesn't follow the standard rules.

so I get a random call this morning from a woman who asks me if this is mr. xyz and I say yeah that's me, who is this? she says a company name I assume really fast then says she needs to confirm the last 4 digits of my SSN and reads it out to me. I say sorry can you repeat that cause the company named was super rushed. she rushes it again and asks me to confirm the SSN. I say why do you need this? she says she doesn't, she already has the information. I clarify and say why do you need me to confirm it? she simply says 'it's a personal business matter'. At this point I'm like shit this person is clearly someone who should not have my SSN and I say I'm going to need a better reason than that. She says 'ok bye' then hangs up.
now I wouldn't care if the SSN was wrong, but she had it right. so now some random freaks out there have my name/phone#/SSN and I have no idea how. my parents mentioned that an insurance company we were with an insurance company that leaked our family's SSN like a decade ago and that's about it. the only places I've given my SSN were for school/government things (college/DMV/etc.) besides the one time I had to sign up for comcast at college.
anyone have experience with what to do in this situation?
did a phone# look up and there seems to be many people with similar experiences and when calling back I get an automated message with the company named being 'southwest credit systems' and have they have 200 complaints with the BBB. I don't even know.
Just to confirm you guys don't have any photo identification or ID document correct? Is that why the SSN is so important to keep secret? I know Yanger and I spoke about this long about but I'm still kind of baffled by it. It's literally just a number that if someone malicious gets a hold of can screw your life over without ever required Photo/Finger print identification?

Fair enough, although I do find much TV content to be silly =P

Here we get our ID(From Home Affairs) when we turn 16 and can get Drivers from 18 onwards. The ID lasts a very long time, I think 10 years but maybe longer. Drivers you have to renew every 5 years. We can use any photo ID document for things so I normally just carry around my drivers for verification and keep ID at home. I think Passport also works but I'd have to ask parents. Is there any reason for this strange SSN system?
@Soniv - Most of any fiction is garbage/silly I think. You just got to find what garbage you enjoy and lap it up. Occasionally you get something really good but those are outlyers :D

Sounds like a collection agency. I won't get into details with you specifically but debt is sold so they can try to collect and hopefully turn a profit doing so. I don't know your situation so I can't comment on it but if you do owe money to a company be it credit cards, a old loan etc they'll attempt to collect. In some cases these companies may not even actually own the debt but they'll still try to collect.
This is assuming they're not an outright scam but judging by the BBB lookup and the complaints closed it sounds like a scumy collection agency. Looking over the complaints it seems they fall under the "we may or may not actually own your debts."
Don't pay them would be my advice besides the obvious stuff. I don't want to imply anything but looking into a Debt Relief services might be an option(after checking with your state Attorney general's office to see if they have any complaints filed against them) Non profits agencies exist.
I hope that helps? I guess.

I hope that helps? I guess. hm I can't recall anything I didn't pay off. I only have one credit card and that's been paid automatically forever. student loans were paid off last year. apartment/comcast was paid off last year as well. can't think of anything else I could've possibly missed. if I really had a debt to pay dunno why they wouldn't just mention that instead of trying to scare me into giving their SSN for the reason of 'personal business matter' which doesn't make any sense at all. but hey, I'm trying to understand the logic of a 'company' that does things like this so maybe that's why I don't get it. i don't think i'll be able to confirm a debt or not since they don't accept any calls. thanks though, i'll look into that if i actually do have a debt
I have my car financed through Huntington National Bank. Back when I had first gotten it, my payment was a bit late cuz of some confusion through my bank (Simple Bank) and how Huntington handles mail in checks. I started getting a couple calls from an unknown number, and when listening to the voicemail (cuz fuck answering numbers I don't recognize), all I heard was "We're calling about a personal business matter. Please return our call."
So I fucking ignored it. I have no issues with answering a call about debt I know full well that I have. But they didn't even mention who was calling - I only figured it out once I got the payment issue fixed and the calls stopped. I can't wait until this car is paid off.
