Sure.
To be fair, I tolerate aggro MtG decks more than Hearthstone, especially face hunter. For starters, in MtG, you don't get 2 free damage every turn.

The difference is that control decks in hearthstone are much less likely to stabilize at lower HP's because "burst damage" is much more prevelant in hs. When I play control decks its not uncommon to take 15-17 points of damage before turn 4, only to sweep the board clean while he has only 2 cards left in hand.
The reason why I'm pushing for wave to play red, is mostly because statistically speaking, red decks have the highest win percentages in the early stages after a rotation. Control decks are developed after those first few months because people have had time to develop their answers to the lines of play that aggro and combo decks have created.
In the past 3 post rotation pts, 20 out of 24 decks in the top 8s have been some type of aggro variant. Where as 2 or the other 4 were combos and control decks. However, both of the control decks in those top 8s ended up winning those pts.
The exception to this rule might bebthe pro tour at the end of this month because it falls in line before the rotation so the control decks will still have all their toys and answers for this meta. The real test will be to see if the new cards from the set can over throw our dragon overlords. Odds are not likely and I'm expecting a real resident sleeper of a pt.

It's not just "burst damage"--aggro decks in MtG have a generally harder time pushing through damage once they've lost board control. The difference in attack/block mechanics makes it far harder for an aggro deck that's lost board control to hit your face with dudes. This means that the aggro deck needs to rely on burn spells to finish off that last bit of damage, but even then control decks have tools to interact with cards yet unplayed, whereas in HS, these tools essentially don't exist.

Oh man, Sonata Arctica released Ecliptica: Revisited last year. This is pretty wonderful.

For people who read,
Ernest Cline's new book Armada is out today. Its probably not going to be the best book since Ready Player One, but I'm enjoying it as a light read so far.

I still need to go back and finish Ready Player One.

Subterranean scout+ goblin piledriver/rabblemaster helps with the ability to push through damage. With only those two cards with that synergy I was able to get some solid damage through, so ibthink maybe in should have heeded my friends advice and played piledriver day 1 when I also had dragon fodder, two scouts and the menace goblin on top of everything.
Are any of the new burn cards going to played? I have two Chandra's ignition but they don't seem aggro playable. Exquisite firecraft probably? Anything else?

Brood War. Oh boy the memories.....
Anybody here even play SC2 anymore (or keep up with the scene)? I still play StarCraft 2 regularly, but I don't follow the pro scene at all. That being said, StarCraft 2 is my favorite e-sport to watch.

I'm the exact opposite. I watch the pro scene(KT HWIATING!) but don't play the game outside of campaigns. 1v1 RTS too stressful for me.

Well, the thing about SC2 is that for me it's the kind of game that's fun is you really really REALLY tryhard, but otherwise it's just not worth playing.

He showed some weakness in his sets last weekend, but yes at the last 3 tournaments he hasn't dropped a set (combined 27-0 in bracket sets against the whole community.)

I'd give Leffen maybe like 40% chance to win? Which is still highest of all the players, but I definitely don't see him as the uncontested #1 at all.

Before these past couple majors I might have agreed, but he really has Armada's number in the Fox dittos recently. Idk what the Vegas odds would be but I'd say he has the best chance of winning atm.
Edit: So i guess I actually do agree because he COULD lose but I don't see it happening baring major nerves/choke.

Just play dedicated anti-aggro decks, like Lightbomb/Deathlord priest. Then you need not fear hunters.

Evo mango is always a god. Put him in losers early and he will crush you.

Playing Ramp Druid:
Draw amazingly on curve and completely dominate the board all game OR Sit with 2 Innervates and a Savage Roar in your had for 6 turns.
No in betweens
