Next edition of 40k this Summer. All current rules and codexes wiped. All current models still usable, will get new rules simultaneously with release. Core rules available for free, "full" ruleset in cheap book (AoS version of this is only $25, super cheap for full rulebook). Setting remains intact, ruleset (which is both prohibitively complicated and expensive) is getting an overhaul to make it 10x easier to get into.
It's a great time to be a Warhammer fan.
Fuck now I want to spend all my money.
Thanks req.
We can get sucked into the abyss together. I already have like 500pts worth of Ork parts.
I have maybe 200 to 500 points of Necrons in a box some where. Been years though they might all be obsolete. Lol. Figures books and painting supplies all in probably cost me 600 bucks.

Think I actually played the game 3 times. :/
Playing is only part of the experience though! I've totally bought models that I only have put on the table once but have had a joy building and painting. Can't wait to put up display cases in our house with all my stuff. And a new work area!
Man I started some basic bodyweight training after spending a couple of hours reading random websites from google. I was feeling great. But now I'm in a slump and just discovered r/bodyweighttraining where they're super cereal about it and it's rather overwhelming.

Probably, because I haven't linked anything in weeks. I am ashamed. v_v

that happens to me on literally every single thing I try to do. I start playing guitar a bit and have fun then I watch jess waters guitar clinics on youtube and get beyond depressed. I've started trying to just make small manageable goals more and trying to not look at the big picture too much

Too bad eshlow hasn't been active on TL in years. He wrote the book on bodyweight stuff. Just pick one or two things you want to work towards and do those progressions.
I've been doing daily presses (starting with both knees on the ground and pushing into a handstand) lately. One of those simple skills that I didn't practice enough when I was doing gymnastics and really should have. Feels good being able to build on it now though.

Yeah, I had a whole little circuit workout thought out for me and stuff, even some progression. But I don't have a pull up bar, the trees around here kind of suck, and I'm not going to do anything crazy like stick bedsheets in the doorframe to try to do it. I wanted a workout that I literally had no excuse not to do and then the redditors ruined it
Kinda stupid though because I was really happy with how it made me feel.

I've got like 8 exercises I try to do in a circuit. It's working pretty well, I should step it up one of the notches this week and I'll see if some of the stuff is too easy and needs more.

Or do play it and play with me. Diamond/master master race.
Even the progression system? One of the things I really didn't like before was actually the way account levels worked and how I got to, say, account level 10 or whatever and all my rewards sputtered out. Some of the new heroes actually looked pretty fun. In any case I had fun messing around vs AI yesterday and will pick up the free stuff today since it's already downloaded.

It depends when you played it. At the start talents were gated behind hero levels which was absurdly stupid but then they got rid of that and it was good. Hots 2.0 just makes the hero levels scale better but hero levels are in actual fact redundant because you don't get much for leveling.
Hots 2.0 just means you get loot boxes and a shit tonne of them and that's just skins/sprays/voices. No mechanics have changed, the exp curve is easier for irrelevant hero levels and that's pretty much it.
The worst thing in the game is imo the rejoin system which is the worst system I've seen in a modern game in a long time. You have to reload the entire map to get back in and then you have to wait for the game to catch up to real time which can take anywhere up to 2+mins of you sitting there.
So basically if that's not changed it's entirely cosmetic. Although I still love the game because it suits a filthy casual like me.
Tl:dr;
If account levels/hero levels and skins matter to you then you'll like it a lot otherwise nothing gameplay related has changed.
You should see the reconnect system for Hearthstone.
edit: I forgot that talent gating thing existed, freak what an absolutely retarded idea. I hope whoever green-lit that is never employed for a position of authority.

The hots one is infinitely worse. It's a game made in the sc2 engine which is designed to pause when a player DCs because the way it is coded is that both players are playing their own simulation of the game and their actions are sent between the players to avoid desyncs. Now hots doesn't pause when you dc and this system is SLOW to catch up. If you DC you need to watch the entire game catch up to receive every single player's button presses. To top that off a bot controls your character which is dumb.
The system is so bad that iirc it snapshots the state of the game every so often and sends it unencrypted to everyone so I think it was possible to make a map hack based on the inputs. Memory is hazy on that.
If I DC in hots I need to close the entire game, sometimes even bnet, start everything up, load back into hots game and then sit there. If i DCd for 3 mins I have to wait like 5 more to get back in. In that time you're watching your bot die repeatedly and it also auto selects your talents.

The joke is the HS one doesn't work at all. HotS does sound absolutely awful though
