I've spent a grand total of $20($10 for 7 packs on 2 occasions) on hearthstone and I have pretty much everything I need if I decide to go netdecking outside of a handful of rares, epics, and legendaries. If somebody opened the game and went "I'm gonna treat it like a retail game" and dropped the $50 for 40 packs, they'd probably have more of the cardset unlocked than I do. | ||

The game was fun to play except that I never had the cards I wanted for the decks I wanted to try and eventually I just got tired of logging in every 3 days to do boring quests with the same decks I always had except slightly different. I'd never have started playing LoL if I had to start now with the crazy grind for all the material and, well, I'm not even really playing LoL as it is. This is also why I can't get into games like Mechwarrior Online or Planetside 2. After one F2P game I just don't have the energy for another that I can't just drop $30-50 bucks on (props to Smite btw). | ||
