I knew I'd lose the toaster strudel one, just wanted confirmation that I'm not totally insane. Winter doesn't start til Dec 21, so everyone is just stupid.

I found amusing how you refer to him as "the guy". I assume it's partly to avoid always saying "my son/kid/child/boy/etc." since you feel guilty everytime you bring up the subject in our child-less group, but after receiving so many awkward look because I like to refer indirectly to people (my parents don't really like me referring to the other as "your husband/wife" over "dad/mom") it's fun seeing somebody else do it. ![]()

Essentially I don't want to use his name, and that's what my wife and I call him. You're probably right as well that it has partly to do with the guilt of bringing him up since he's basically all I talk about or refer to these days---even amongst my friends in my program who are also all at a different stage of life than me (read: younger/single/engaged).

Maybe it's because you do it more with your friends and stuff as you say, and it makes you more self-conscious about it, but the one time you talked about him several posts in a row people here were actually interested in what you had to say. Doesn't his name start with Z? It does. And yeah mordek it's obviously a very common....euphemism? I feel like if we had a girl we may very well have called her that too though. Speaking of HS (back to proper off-topic discussion) I'm going to try streaming arena again tonight. BP was pretty helpful when he wasn't only making fun of me, and I did learn a few things to fix about my play.

That's pretty normal for parents I think. You get a kid and s/he is now the center of your life and super interesting so you want talk about them. My sister and bro-in-law have kids and if they meet some other parents at the same stage that's most of what they talk about. BUT some people can be pretty anti-kid whether they think you're destroying the planet, they just hate children, or they're just single and simply don't understand because they've never cared for a kid in their life. So you're left not wanting to talk. Honestly I think those people can just stuff it. Kids are beautiful (rascals) and I have mad respect for parents cause raising a kid is probably the hardest thing you can ever do (aside from raising special needs kids). Just keep in mind that the guy might want to do something other than extremely manly testosterone-filled chest-thumping fist-pounding esports where every game a player gets injured in a fist fight. + Show Spoiler + (sometimes it just takes twenty years for them to come around) kekeke IDK if that helps at all but it was a fun rant to write.

K I'll add you. | ||

You can't actually trade cards in elements, just like hearthstone. =P And wave, you know I only make fun as a bud lol. I always try to help friends out but I like to tease and joke a lot with friends to make it more entertaining.
