I mean, in theory I get why they might possibly do that (the "level up" free characters are probably supposed to be more difficult heroes to play), but given how poorly devs typically are at assessing how difficult a hero is to play, having that be a hard restriction seems stupid.

I think I remember there being ways around the whole 'it costs money thing' using Garena or Hamachi or some other various tools, but I haven't done it in fucking ages, so just spend the money.

Just sell the Battle Chests at like $5 each, its not like it costs them money to sell the digital game anymore.

Only laddered 3v3 or 4v4. That and custom maps.

I don't want people to get it to 1v1 them(although with enough interest some 3v3s/4v4s/FFAs could maybe be fun), but moreso for the ridiculous amount of customs that we could play together.

Lets see...bug fixes, bug fixes, Outsiders now have Muscle Fiber Density...wait what. + Show Spoiler + Outsiders now have Muscle Fiber Density b15c: Sectoid navigators can now have Muscle Fiber Density b15d: Sectopods are now flying units. I maintain that as far as these circles go, SA > IN (I think I confused PCB and IN in my previous posts, IN is much better than I remember (still some issues though, especially in the latter ones and with how they use brasses) while PCB is fairly mediocre with the tempo alone ruining everything). But there's techno, metal, electro, stuff with vocals... I know about nothing about these, save for some stuff like Dark Phoenix' Plain Asia, or some =Neutral= stuff. There's a crapton of orchestral, if you're looking at piano-only kkcwkoh's channel does exclusively that (with a pretty wide range), I take a lot of folk though. I've made a folk playlist if you're into that. Some guy made 3 good compilations too. - For particular genres, WAVE (and Morrigan in particular) does very good symphonic arranges generally using choirs. - TAMUSIC is a violin dude, I don't doubt that he's talented but I tend to get annoyed by his approach (he overdoes things and his array of notes generally lacks "depth" to my 100% untrained ear). - marasy8 is a piano god with a lot of touhou songs in his early videos and you should listen to him even if not for Touhou (the solos on Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke and Plain Asia are astounding). He's got his own channel on youtube. - Sisimai brothers are pretty hit-or-miss and use weird or traditionaal instruments in a lot of their arranges. They can be pretty repetitive. - Tutti Sound did a "moviesque" album out of touhou themes. If you're into Two Steps From Hell (with less electric guitars and solos) it's kinda close to that. Some arranges are way overdone and rush into cringe stereotyped territory but some are genuinely good (and some are good as executions of said "movie music archetype"). - O-Life JAPAN do upbeat arranges, lots of violins and things like that. I don't like everything they do but they have a distinct style so it's nice to have around. - =Neutral= is weird. One album (Darkness) is straight-up electro/guitar, with another being very mellow, and they have some blander stuff. And finally, with how the melodies work it also depends on the base material. There's a reason Border of Life only gets "metal" remixes to shit up the melody with huge guitar solos and is otherwise popular for symphonic while U.N. Owen was Her? draws mostly electro/dance/techno remixes (I swear if you get cellos and stuff to do the "background beat" right it's amazingly creepy but noone cares about that aadqxzfafvzf a). TL;DR: HOW THE HECK CAN I GET YOU A "BEST ONE" IF I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU THINK IS GOOD

My strategy was just to buy 6 of the longest range rockets possible and bully people back to base so that they couldn't do anything. It was questionable long term but it was fun in the toxic kind of way that Riot hates.
