I think that's supposed to be biggest prison population per capita.
Nope found where I saw it :
It's within the first 1 minute.
LWT is the best.
Ye like his blend of comedy. Latest one is also pretty funny for me. Americans seem to think anything involving Tax is the spawn of Satan regardless of if it would help them or not.
It's not only funny but also well researched and very informative. It's a unique blend that can get people to care about the issues he's talking about. I'm pretty sure I read and article that the LWT on net neutrality raised a decent amount of public awareness on the issue.

So have I. Didn't care for it either.
Some people likey, some don't.
Ye I get people not liking it or liking it. That's just human nature. I don't get the craze around it and how it's all overly dramatic like the end of all suffering on earth.
edit: I've tried it multiple times Coma. Just don't like it.
A big part of the popularity around the issue in America is the absurd prohibition and "War on Drugs" in general. In the face of scientific and medical evidence suggesting its benefits and limited downsides (there are downsides and some negative side effects, of course), it is classified as a Schedule 1 drug - which means it is considered to have no medical use at all, and is regarded as "more dangerous" than the many prescription drugs that are frequently handed out very liberally.
It is also one of the most heavily used reasons to incarcerate people, resulting in the highest prison population in the world by far. As more information has come available over the last several years, the absurdity of it just becomes more apparent. And the amount of uproar around it has certainly caused progress as evident from Colorado, Washington, and DC (along with a couple others). I don't really care if people care for it or not, but keeping it illegal is incredibly ridiculous, and I don't anticipate it being so for that much longer.
War on Drugs might as well be rebranded as War on Poor as far as I'm concerned. I don't understand why the federal government has just legalized it, created standards to get all the bad weed off the streets, and cash in on taxing it like they do with cigarettes.
I mean, yes, that's what it's basically boiled down to. Why haven't they yet? Because the private prison industry loves having all these inmates! Money speaks louder than logic or evidence.
Significant progress has been made in recent years. Colorado in particular has proven how effective the taxing/regulation can be. I expect several more states to legalize in the next couple years (northeast and west coast especially).
You know your country is fucked when you have a private prison industry
quite literally especially for kawaii white boys who got in on a weed charge

I heard on the radio this morning (LOVE NPR) that two companies control 3/4 of the prisons in the USA.
wouldn't that make them like the companies with the largest amount of employees in the world? LOL
Inmates are assets, not employees.
yeah its mostly a huge load of black people who have no rights are guarded 24/7 and forced to labour for a fixed to indefinite time we don't call them naggers though so it's all fine

to be fair that might just be because china executes their criminals instead of incarcerating them LOL
China executes like ~2-3k people every year, which isn't even a blip on the radar for the country lol.
People are never happy with their education system unless they are from Finland.

I find people who enjoy marijuana are in general individuals who are less stressed, very open minded, and excited at the prospect of thinking about things in the most absurd of ways. Obviously this is a huge generalization, but just my personal observations.
But just like many things on this planet I would certainly suggest everyone try it once, although with smoking the first time can not be enjoyable because 1) You didn't actually inhale enough. 2) You were so focused on trying to figure out if you were high you don't realize that you're high. 3) You were already inebriated in some other way and therefore it compounded and confused the effects of your previous substance. 4) You were not in the right setting or mood. The first couple times you really should be totally relaxed (not stressed about life things), with people you are SUPER comfortable with, AND in a place that is familiar and feels safe. Too many times I see newbies with a friend and his/her random smoking buddies in the attic/garage/water tower given a hit that's way too big and I just know it's ruined for that person.
I have tried weed like 5 times. I just don't get it. At least its better than anime.
