At one of my meetings our icebreaker was "worst halloween costumes" and one person said from ages 4-7 her parents dressed her up as a mummy but did it really shitty and it traumatized her for life. Your food is cheaper, more likely to be better for you, and will generally taste better than if you went to most restaurants. Cooking also helps to NOT be forever alone. Learning to cook is a double edged sword. You attract all the ladies, esp the ones who are godawful at cooking by some fluke of social context, but now the problem is you're stuck cooking. As one of my birthday gifts for 2011 my girlfriend said she'd cook for me. Still waiting on that zzzzzzz

It's all for science, obviously. heh iuno about the merits of your original plan to find someone that would cook for you all the time. mind you maybe i just have bad luck with that. At least I have become a good cook as a result!

You teach your significant other to cook. If she(he) is hesitant you just make it a collaborative date activity. Pretty soon sharing the responsibility is no problem ![]()

The opposite is Ramen or canned soup. Nah. Slow cooker is the best way to start learning how to cook. It's insanely forgiving way to cook.

I worked like 11 hours yesterday and then got off and had a Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger. It tasted like everything I ever wanted in life and more.

I found it pretty good considering where it started from. There's a trick, though: you shouldn't take the game at face value.
