It fundamentally changes the way PM Zelda plays which I'm not a fan of. Zhime who is one of the better Zelda players was talking about how much he hates the changes on his stream. Nerfs are one thing but I don't think Din's Fire was that much of an issue. Idk I'll probably still play Zelda for now but I'm open to changing mains at this point.
I'm not really sure how it helps against characters with good neutral, it's faster but you lose all of your zoning potential. It's like a spammy poke tool now and it just feels sort of lame. Also controlling it feels unruly and sort of random. Too be fair I haven't gotten to play a lot against other people but it just feels really underwhelming. Like it could be good but it just feels generally useless compared to old Din's.

Its very easy to work around old dins at it gets beat by all sexkicks and a bunch of other stuff. New Dins helps vs shield pressure.

If a value is called on frequently it can get cache'd which allows the CPU to grab it faster than it would other wise. Basically it uses less if cached but takes up more space.

Current campaign finishes on 11/29, so I can give this one my full attention after that. But I don't think the official game will start until January because I want to run some small one-shots to get a sense for the players and stuff (and perhaps help choose who'll be in the final game). Also I need to have the time to read the DMG.

Cache memory on a cpu, to put it simply, is like if you went "Shit, I want some orange juice." and went to your fridge instead of going 3 blocks to get it from the store. You knew ahead of time that you'd probably want it, so you kept it in a closer location.
