Right? Myers Brigg is not hard science but it's useful in that it provides an abstraction for how you to self-reflect on how your like to behave and how that relates with other people. no it doesn't there's no way that classifying types of behavoirs in this way helps you engineer the best way to behave in a specific scenario
I played with dolls when I was little a lot

The thesis of Second Sex is that you can be born a man (in the social sense) but you cannot be born a woman.
Anyways this discussion of gender is pretty dumb because it is entirely in the context of Western languages. Gender predominantly is a language issue (because language predicates the construct of social life) and there exist languages with more than just male/female genderization.
I.e. in non-English romance languages verbs and adjectives take conjugation based on the gender of the noun. In certain languages this class of conjugation extends to many things because you have be male/female/rock/sky gendered (i.e. things of a given linguistic category take a similar form in lexical construction)
So the gender/sex dichotomy is a false one (but at the same time insisting that gender/sex are unified is also false) because language is a posterior construct.
There is no a priori truth you may all commit suicide in the face of a meaningless existence now.

How am I wrong exactly?
If you want to discuss this, let's discuss it.
+ Show Spoiler [ON TOPIC DISCUSSION DO NOT READ] + You say that the Fizz nerf will be irrelevant.
I'm not going to say that the nerf will be enough or not enough or anything like that, but I think claiming that it will be irrelevant is a pretty huge leap.
Lets look at some actual numbers of what this nerf will do to Fizz for different types of damage he does at different points in the game.
For starters, lets look at a basic early game W-Q-auto harass combo, using E to jump away safely.
It would change Fizz's overall AP ratio from: Assuming 1 autoattack: 1.55 to 1.25 Assuming 2 autoattacks: 1.9 to 1.4 Assuming 3 autoattacks: 2.25 to 1.55
Anywhere from about a 20% to about a 30% reduction in the total amount of damage he gets from his AP.
Or, looking at a more all-in Fizz combo, where he ults and also uses his E for damage, we're talking: Assuming 1 autoattack: 3.4 to 3.1 Assuming 2 autoattacks: 3.75 to 3.25 Assuming 3 autoattacks: 4.1 to 3.4
Anywhere from about 10% to about a 20% reduction in the total amount of damage he gets from his AP.
I'm not sure how you can possibly argue that that's not a significant reduction in Fizz's overall damage.
Whether or not that's enough of a nerf I don't have a clue, I'd be interested in seeing what Atrioc has to say about it. But considering that as a champion Fizz only has a 50% winrate in ranked (that drops under 50% in leagues higher than silver), and considering that he isn't the most popular mid laner in competitive play (4th most popular mid laner at Worlds, barely higher than 50% pick/ban rate and only a 50% winrate) it seems to me that, based on those numbers, even a small nerf would be "significant." And I don't see how you can look at that as a small nerf.
I'd challenge you though to actually have a reasonable argument if you want to respond rather than resorting to insults or hypocritically stating that people don't know how Fizz's damage works when the thing you're talking about being so overpowered is exactly what is being nerfed. Thanks.
Also, sorry to bring League discussion into the off topic thread, but csheep and wei decided to drag it in here and be assholes. I honestly thought I was posting in the on topic thread.

The personality test is not an answer it's a tool. You just use it as a framework or foundation for discussion regarding personality. It's not that hard. People like simplifying and categorizing. This makes the transfer of information quicker and easier at the cost of some accuracy sure.

Oh I dunno, if to be female is to be weak or submissive the differences in the sex's estrogen vs testosterone will go a long way.

Define "in the social sense" men have to put up with a lot of shit too, they are expected to be independent, provide for their family, stand up for themselves etc etc, to say that only women have to put up with shit is dumb, not to say that they don't and didn't have it worse.
a man who doesn't standup/fight for himself is a weakling a woman who gets picked on physically is a victim think about how they affects the psyche of a developing human.

Right? except its not completely random its based on personal input so yes the Forer effect is going to be widespread if people read about "their type" but it doesnt mean its completely useless, just that you might get bias anyway, as I said, this information isn't too useful for yourself (but it might be, some things might explain why they act a certain way, but forer effect is dangerous here), its useful statisically. If you group people by IQ it mightn't mean they all have good genetics or are all going to be really smart but you'll probably get better results teaching em physics over the people who scored 40 because their parents never taught them to read or count and their teachers sucked at it On October 17 2013 01:56 Scip wrote: Patriarchy doesn't exist, your grandma was happy when your grandad was providing for the entire household, sexy videogame characters are great rolemodels for young girls because most girls really need a can of sex the fk up and women are inferior

My point was valid, csheep is being an asshole, and so are you. can you stop victimizing yourself and realize that you're wrong so i read a summary of that book you mentioned and tl dr of the tl dr it sucks to be a woman if you're trying to keep up with men because you have to deal with childbirth and maternal instincts and shit which kept our race alive instead of getting really good at running fast or guessing where things in the sky are going to be in 4 years i mainly brought up the second sex cause of its most famous line "one is not born, but rather becomes, a woman" which was pretty relevant to the discussion a couple pages back one is not born but rather becomes a woman one is not born but rather becomes a man seems like something that is supposed to seem deep but all it says is that you're different from how you were when you were born because of your upbringing. (and woman get it hard because they are given dolls and boys get to play with swords) The thesis of Second Sex is that you can be born a man (in the social sense) but you cannot be born a woman. In certain languages this class of conjugation extends to many things because you have be male/female/rock/sky gendered (i.e. things of a given linguistic category take a similar form in lexical construction) So the gender/sex dichotomy is a false one (but at the same time insisting that gender/sex are unified is also false) because language is a posterior construct. There is no a priori truth you may all commit suicide in the face of a meaningless existence now.
i disagree with gender being predominantly language issueissue because in societies with languages without gendered nouns you still see similar social dynamics, or at least a distinct difference between "man" and "woman."

Also, Nyvone pretty legendary mod. Supposedly one can recite his name three times to summon him to unleash the titan's wrath. Or something like that. ok fine who needs to work anyway.

You will feel really dumb when it turns out that Ketara is right Csheep he very well might, lowering Fizz's allin power at lvl6+ can be very significant especially against lanes that shit on him early ( Orianna). I'd probably bet on Ketara being right that it is significant (though not enough to kill him completely probably)
