Two friends of mine are teachers who started 1 and 2 years ago respectively. One of them I didn't see at all (almost) for a year, always busy, sometimes having rest during holidays but not even for the whole thing, spending the whole day working, etc. Got better the second year because then he was more experienced and had notes and classes and stuff he could re-use that was a lot less for him to design (not sure if it's the right word for it, engineering background showing :< ), although he still had pupils and copies to deal with.
The other one was telling me she was going to bed before even 9 PM because of how tired she was. I think whenever I saw her in person she was tired too anyway (to be fair it was because her class' school trip went by my town and they'd spent 2 days walking through the city with her having to eye ~40 11 yo). Not sure how she'll do once classes start again.
feeling super monday today, one good sleep is not enough to erase the effect of of all the toxins i consumed this weekend.
man country people know how to party, barn burning, decent bands, wet t-shirt contest, tubing, if i survive this recovery i really have to do it again.

What are you two doing? Also surprised my smite report didn't get a response from you.
The smite report is pretty true. The game follows the ability OP agenda much more than LoL, but consider stuff can be hard to hit it works quite well, despite not having dota-esque mana costs.

I didn't feel it warranted a response haha. But a lot of the gods have similar mixed kit mechanics to league ones. Athena = Shen + Leona, for example

You should play it to get a real feel of it. Just sayin. Also, Agni actually doesn't play like Brand or Kog at all, other than his poke ult. He's really more about zone control and positioning since he has a big AoE stun and a dash.
So last night I went grocery shopping and got ham and cheese for sandwiches this week. The packaging on the cheese said 20 slices but it was just 10 slices cut in half. What a fucking ripoff.
In all fairness dota2 is about the most uninteresting game on the planet to watch if you've never played it / have no understanding of it.
Ive clearly been playing LoL for years and have a giant understanding of the game, i can follow 5v5 fights easily. I tried watching TI4 this year and couldn't follow a fucking 1v1, i simply had no idea what was going on and had no interest because of it. No amount of "noob stream" helped either. People were going apeshit and i was sitting there going "...ok...?"
It really is one of the worst games to broadcast to an uneducated mass.
People would get more enjoyment watching cosmo break OoT or siglemic destroy super mario 64 for the first time. Simply because they're more accessible. Much like FPS/RTS games are too.

League of legends was way worse than dota ever was for me. especially when you see people get really hyped about literally nothing happening as happens from time to time. its a lot of flashy colors and movement for no kills and only a 10% health advantage and people will go nuts. I had the opposite exposure as you. with my playing dota for years before i touched LoL.

I think it just also has a lot to do with a lot of prior knowledge required to understand what's going on.

Well there you have it, now imagine somebody who's never played either of them. The poor souls must be mind fucked.
It's not like they were just broadcasting unedited games on ESPN 2, it was a half hour special that recapped the tournament thus far and was talking about the finals. From a production stand point it was very well made and didn't really require a complex understanding of the game to appreciate it as a piece of sports media. Can't say I'm surprised people had such a negative perception of the piece, but it was still a well made piece of media.
