The Dragon bannings are pretty understandable since a lot of the Smogon ban lists are about making sure the meta doesn;t become super stale because there are Pokemon which are so good they warp the game around them. And a lot of the bannings are done by voting and to qualify for voting you have to be a minimum elo on the test servers so it's not super ham-fisted. I know it's sad when your favourites get banned (Mega-Lucario in OU RIP) but I understand why it's necessary.
I'm fine with them running the online platforms. They've done a pretty good job so I've got no complaints here.

it's more that I need something to counterpick puff with, and YL really isn't the practical choice lol

they also let things like stealth rocks exist which single handedly ruined the viability of a number of otherwise solid pokemon and let the metagame be defined by it.

I'm using Y, which is what I use for wave dashing. It's more the fact that my fingers aren't used to moving so fast in the same pattern consistently cuz, ya know, I play Daisy

I never used to use Control Stick for much but it's soooo good for Jump Canceled Up Smashes with Fox. I had to turn it back on in PM.

For example, splitting Pokemon into tiers make sense otherwise there's almost no reason to basically not run an Ubers team since the Pokemon there are just mathematically superior to everything else. For a lot of the other stuff it's more nuanced and subjective. The Salamence ban for example was based on how not only was it a good Pokemon, it also could run a whole load of different sets to tear people apart so was hard to counter, while Garchomp influenced people into build teams with anti-Garchomp. Dragon as a typing is also really, really good (hi DragMag). Scizor is good, but there are a lot of ways to just beat it which was not the same of other stuff. Looking at Gen VI for example, I can't imagine a world full of Mega-Khangaskan or more generally a world without Sleep or Evasion Clause urghhhh....
Since it's all subjective you end up with the Council and community voting which makes the decisions which I think is a pretty good system. Since it's elo based you ignore all the people who are bad and since it's done on a Suspect Test server you can limit the issue to just the test they run. Sure it could be better, but I can't think of a better system. And remember, you can't patch Pokemon so this is a fairly good system to use. And remember, no one's forced to use Smogon rules if they don't like them.

Well, I'm also usually an X jumper, I have no idea why I use y for wave dashing. I also wish I used L to shield instead of R to make nair out of shield easier, it's a hard habit to break
