Eh I totally get the melee hype and I don't think it's uninteresting, but evo in general I think just doesn't interest me.

The bar at the bottom is the super meter. certain moves take 1 some take 3 and only 1 ability takes 5. Unless you mean the duration bar? for the supers that are buff based? Wolverines is a speed upgrade.

No he means the specific supers that give certain attributes with a drain bar. I think Wovlerine's gives him extra speed but I actually don't know a lot of the technical shit behind UMvC3 I just watch it for entertainment.

ChrisG is one of the best in the world, wins a ton of tournaments, and has been running this team or a similar one forever, best morrigan in the world, and dear god its annoying. its all keepaway, and if you make a mistake once you get in, you eat a full combo as punishment. ChrisG has also 100-0'd someone with only projectiles in a combo in the past.
villians are ChrisG and FilipinoChamp. Filipino just plays the part for fun he's super nice in person, ChrisG is actually mostly sodium.

Yes Wolv has one, so do a bunch of other characters you didn't mention(the other commonly seen ones being Vergil and Strider).

Once you understand which move is which character's, and what the different assists do (Dr. Doom fires missiles that go down from the top of the screen, useful for spacing and disrupting combos/defenses/etc.) it gets better. Supers are still a clusterfuck though, especially when they're used to swap characters or something, I haven't figured that out yet.

^ Vergil's the demon form, yeah, I know that one. Vergil was one of the few characters whose moveset I immediatly got last year because I've played DMC3.
Dormammu was another I got pretty fast because he was played a fuckton in pools and he's pretty flashy, without being generic beams and shit like Magneto.
And Shuma-Gorath because noone's like him. :3

My team is so bizarre in UMVC3. Haggar Arthur Doctor Strange. ^_^ its so one dimensional but damn its fun as hell. im pretty trash outside of practice mode though.

I'm not a Doom fan or anything. About Morrigan it's...
To get it short, there was this stream of video game characters used as customs characters in WWE to create parodic wrestling shows. I didn't know a bunch of the cast, esp. in the female division, so at the bottom of a tournament I rooted for Rydia. She lost to Morrigan and there was noone else interesting in their side of the bracket so I rooted for Morrigan, not knowing who she was. The pals I watched the streams with made fun of it (esp. since I hammed it up for funsies), and when EVO came about and I learnt Morrigan was in UMvC3 and the signature character of one guy I hammed it up some more and started cheering for ChrisG.
Plus he played differently from most others so I was fine with it, helped me understand more stuff and some logic behind teams.
