The way to name Pokemon is to pick a progaming team and name yourself after the coach. Your final team should be the team's starting lineup while all the filler Pokemon/HM Slaves/etc. are the B-teamers and dysfunctional teammates that team went through to get there.

I name mine after characters from Game of Thrones because everyone dies wat did they introduce a hard difficulty yet there was like easy and normal and once i won normal a couple times i didnt care too muc hbout unlocking all the ships just stack enough of everything and rapp with beams The game is cool when you have to make do with the Kestrel. Unlocking ships eventually ruins the fun because some of the ships make beating the game way too easy, so all there is to do left is unlock more ships and get achievements, which are in large part just RNG.

Some FTL tips for the final fight: Try to bring crew teleporter and cloaking. For weapons, ion bomb, lots of ion weapons, or large amounts of lasers recommended. Stage 1: save cloaking for when the mothership fires missiles. You want to blow up the weapons as fast as possible, then kill the crew in the weapons spaces. You can also just teleport a couple dudes into the compartment, and if they have enough combat skill they should be able to tear the weapons apart fast enough. IMPORTANT: Do not kill the mothership until you have destroyed all its weapons and killed the crew manning them. Do not kill the mothership until all your dudes are back on your ship. And most of all, do not kill all the mothership's crew. As long as at least one survives, you're fine. Once you have all the weapons down, kill whatever crew you can as long as you don't kill all of them, and then destroy the mothership. Stage 2: save cloaking for when the mothership has a drone overload. Again, take out the missiles, then the other weapons, ASAP. They will be fully repaired even though you destroyed them last fight. Fortunately, they won't be manned. Kill them, then focus on disabling the drones. Sometimes you'll just get straight-up RNG'd here and there's nothing you can do. Having huge engines and a well-trained pilot is recommended. Stage 3: save cloaking for when the mothership fires a barrage. Take out the missiles, then the other weapons. This is actually the easiest part of the fight, as long as you have cloaking. If you don't, there's a moderate chance you'll get completely dicked out of nowhere.

I agree Kestrel B is pretty good, but I don't think its a free win. I think the easiest ship/layout for me to get a win was Mantis Cruiser B, and it wasn't even close (beat it on the first try on normal). Having a 4 man teleporter is just so strong early.
I haven't gotten either of the slug or the crystal ships though.
Edit: Wait are we talking about the actual Kestrel B or the Osprey. I assumed you meant the second one. :>

Funny enough I see a lot of people name their cats "Katse" which is just cat in sesotho. I actually really like the name and am gonna call any cat I get either Katse or Hobbes (but only if he looks like it).
My emerald nuzlocke begins right now.

On another note, finally got my last thing in Binding of Isaac: 200 Mom kills. Already got Platinum God, but now I have that too.

I played only with the original Kestrel, and didn't really try much with any of the other ships, but i never used crew teleporters or cloaking, seems like a lot of wasted money when you can just stack on some defensive drones and high level shields and then have like 3 auto fire beams
i guess i just think they're gimmicky and like to win man mode lol

Same for me. Beams+Missiles and a defense drone (lvl 1 or 2, doesn't matter that much, lvl 2 drones can be pretty stupid) all the way to victory.

They should release a hard difficulty so you really have to min max this shit to win

Cloaking is definitely more cost-efficient than the later defensive upgrades.

Hardly wasted money. I did beat the game with the Osprey with neither drones or cloak, but it was an absolute pain in the butt.
Probably the most reliable way of consistently beating the flagship involves both the cloak and boarders. At least if you're looking at it from the persepctive of you will almost always be able to purchase a cloak and teleporter and then build your ship around it.
Also they unlock blue options for events, which tend to give way more loot, so they pay for themselves if you buy them early enough. Cloaking in particular unlocks a ton of blue options.

The problem with making it harder is that the weapons have clear tiers, so it could be reduced to whether you find that Burst Laser II or not.

Boarding is the best way to not get owned by RNG if you're just trying to beat the game. Non-boarding strategies require either shop RNG for good weapons or require that you play the Federation Cruiser and abuse Artillery Beam.
