Off-Topic General Discussion - Page 1995

I was focusing really hard on doing Catarinabro's storyline correctly so that I would successfully meet him in Lost Izalith with those four suction monsters and the poison, and be able to get that lovely titanite slab that he gives me as a reward for helping him. Unfortunately, the catch is he has to survive the fight with above 75% health, so basically, I have to go to town on the suction guys. I'm all raring to go after setting everything up for like 15 minutes to make sure the questline goes perfectly. I then talk to him, causing him to leap into the pit to battle the four suction monsters. Unfortunately, I get a little too excited as I leap in directly after him, and swing my sword midair, accidentally triggering my plunging attack and dunking for Catarinabro straight through the top of his head for a glorious one-shot. And then I immediately get one-shot in return by the squid monsters who take advantage of the fact that I'm absolutely horrified by what I had just done. After all that preparation, I end up ruining it myself by going full Trotsky on the guy.

I'm home, but it feels weird. I've spent so much of my time at boarding school that it feels more like home than home does. My room feels clinically clean. All too neat and tidy, which only adds to the strange distance. Then my mom came in and asked if I wanted a pokemon! My first thought was "Uh, I haven't been around pokemon for 4 years, what do you think!" Then she asked if I wanted a pokedex. She could tell from my blank stare that I was clueless and explained it. Seems kinda cool, I guess. Better than the heavy textbooks.

Of course, there was a catch. I have to go some random girl in town with a hat on. How many girls could have a hat on? How do I start that conversation? "Hey miss, gimme my pokemon?" This was so much easier in boarding school.

Luckily I ran into Heung-soo on my way. I told you about him, right? My best friend from when I was a kid? It was nice to see a familiar face, though I haven't won our bet to grow stupid hair yet. It's getting to the point where I'm avoiding mirrors. Anyway, I found her at the overlook but it was already getting dark. Damn, it was super awkward. Or it would have been if she wasn't lost in the clouds for a moment. Then she, out of nowhere, asked if I wanted to complete the pokedex. How am I supposed to do something the researchers haven't!?

Anyway, she offered me one of three pokeballs. I was in such a rush I picked one without even asking what they were! I ended up with an Oshawatt. Not my favorite but it's definitely not the worst! I named it Yuwott, I think we're gonna be the best of mates. that's how this works, right?

Anyway, this is getting kinda long. I'll tell you the rest later!
