And the less said about some of the later campy installments the better(Looking at you Batman and Robin) Meanwhile in the animated universe, batman animated is awesome, superman is awesome, teen titans was awesome(and I'd argue better portrayed in the show then they currently are in the comics), Justice League was awesome and every Dc animated movie was at least okay to badass.

I had Beast Wars toys... well, my little brother did. But we both watched that too.
I didn't really like Batman Begins. Then again, the Raz'Al'Ghul episodes of the animated series weren't the best either, but Begins goes so hard on the "NINJAS" thing that I haven't been exposed to much that it makes me cringe abit. Found the whole final part super meh. Didn't see the other Batmans. Would prob rather not because with everyone fanboying so hard on Heath Ledger it'd have to friggin' blow my mind for me not to rubber-band and be critical as fuck of the whole thing by reaction to all the praise I heard (yeah that's a bit dumb and elitist and whatnot and maybe even hipster but my gut instinct works like that).
Only other Batman I see was the one with Catwoman and The Pinguin, it was the 2nd one I think? I thought the whole Pinguin segment and the way he was approached ("Hey, look at me, pity me, and also think bad of Batman because he dared to punch little poor me" and the whole media manipulation) was really good for a villain.

Yeah I know where you're coming from. The exact same thing happened to me with the new Captain America movie. Everyone hyped it up so much that when I went to go see it I had unrealistic expectations and then the movie fell flat for me.

Batman villains are like deadra lords they are representing different aspects of "evil". Which is way better than electric, sand and goo man in spiderman films.
I mean both spiderman movie series always had shitty characters at least people are interesting rather than Avengers where Loki is the only one you really care about because its so centered around action.
