Also even if you don't have much to share (all my stories begin with "I know somebody who..."), just be interested in stuff. Doesn't matter if I have nothing to say because I won't have to speak at all, except to ask about details or further topics and then I'll just listen and let my interlocutor go on about whatever it is he likes. Best part? Most of the time I'll genuinely enjoy it. You can learn a bunch of stuff from talking to various people if you're a curious person. Met a girl at a housewarming party, first thing she replied was being a bit tired because of school, so I asked what is is she's studying and I ended up learning some stuff about music licence, what kind of stuff they learn in a broad manner, the path that brought her here and some stuff about the cities she's lived in before here, what motivates her wrt music and what she wants to do afterwards. She actually plays the accordion, which is bonus point 'cause I like the instrument, and when she had to leave for her bus after ~45 minutes of talking there still was a bunch of questions I wanted to ask about her studies, what does she play on the accordion, etc. just because it was interesting. She's a friend of a flatmate of the friend who invited me tho, so maybe I shoulda suggested to see each other sometimes because the odds of meeting her again are low as is, but that's a whole 'nother problem. ![]()

Wha? The accordion is like bagpipes, only usually more annoying.

also, I didn't like Sinnoh i liked a lot of gen IV stuff but I just didn't like the Sinnoh world, especially the "Cure the Psyducks so they'll get out of your way" and OMG POWER OUTAGE AT SUNYSHORE YOU HAVE A LEVEL 48 LUXRAY BUT GO HOME ANYWAYS overall, pokemon quality has been relatively consistent, gameplay has steadily improved, competitive play has been up and down, worlds have all had their problems

I kinda want to call sick into work tomorrow because I know I'll feel like crap and probably won't be able to hear, but I know I won't be able to ![]() wow sick a7x is pretty legit i used to like think of a7x as one of those dirty pleasures, you know, that you indulge in even though you know its trashy but every new album they've come out with has really impressed me :3

I am soooooooooooo excited omg I cannot sit still. Hooray! congrats dude. I'm sure the NEX 7 is great. The lens you got is really good choice. 16-50mm (full frame equiv of 24-75mm according to the website) is extremely versatile and you won't need another lens for a long while.

As for the make-up of the crew I'm 6'1 and a buck sixty and our crew is pretty much split between medical field students like me and middle-aged ladies xP

The 16-50mm is the one that comes stock with all DSLRs though. I really wish I could get something like a NEX 7 though. I bought a Canon T1i and I would like to use it more but it's just so bulky and a pain to bring along. I've also committed to it because I bought a pricey lens. On top of that I don't go anywhere as often as I'd like... going on vacation tomorrow though!

Being a gymnast is cool for the draw value, but it's the same as talking to someone about anything they know nothing about. You can only say so much before you get into all the technical shit that goes way over their head. I know you have more to say than "oh I just watched the Marvel movies". You're one of the most frequent posters here, you clearly have things to talk about. You just need to find someone who wants to talk to you about things. Also, that's why I suggest asking them about themselves. It will help you find things to relate to. And if they are interested in you, then they will ask you questions and you can keep talking about things. If you strike out because they weren't interested, then better for you. Don't get sucked into something and then be unappreciated for who you are. I've been there, it's not fun. I'm going serious mode here, Req. Stop selling yourself short. Pretttttty much. I know it's cliche but confidence is key. You can be the biggest wad in the world with interests you don't think anyone else cares about but if you're passionate and confident about those (however creepy they may be lololol) than it doesn't matter. Just ask a girl out and be yourself. It really IS that easy. Edit: Oh, it seems I've missed the conversation again and we're back to Pokemon. Carry on, then. I'll just jump in whenever I feel I can relate sometime well after that time would have been long past.
