The issue with talking is that my hobbies are boring. I play games and watch TV and read books and that's about it. My girlfriend doesn't get the whole video game/nerd thing at all. But she knows it's what I love to do, and she lets me be me. Everyone deserves that. But you have to figure out how to be happy with yourself and the way you are before you can expect someone else to value those parts of you too.

I know you have more to say than "oh I just watched the Marvel movies". You're one of the most frequent posters here, you clearly have things to talk about. You just need to find someone who wants to talk to you about things. Also, that's why I suggest asking them about themselves. It will help you find things to relate to. And if they are interested in you, then they will ask you questions and you can keep talking about things.

If you strike out because they weren't interested, then better for you. Don't get sucked into something and then be unappreciated for who you are. I've been there, it's not fun.
