Their next adventure is a pre-gen adventure from Next that I'm incorporating into their story. There's gonna be so much despair, I'm so excited. They are getting really strong as they level up, but they'll need to be for this shit. Tee hee. Wait until spellcasters start to get to like level 10+ and then you spend most of your planning session going "how can I keep them from just magicking their way out of this?" I honestly just have to kill their Cleric and then the rest will die because of sheer stupidity. They still haven't caught on that they should probably get potions before adventuring. Yeah now that the game seems to be in motion you can probably start upping some of the challenge levels if you want. More encounters per day so they have to manage their resources, encounters that are designed to be ran away from so they learn to not just charge headlong every time, etc. Well, I just read through some of the rules stuff and realized I've been doing death/dying wrong, so I'm altering that to what the Next system lists (mine was kind of a bastardized 2nd ed system I think cuz it was based on what Neil uses in Solum) and they're on board. It should help remedy some things and make combat a bit more interesting should anyone get knocked unconscious. Have you guys hit 0HP/Death counters already? Not entirely sure what death counters are, but it sounds like what I will be implementing. If you fall unconscious, you have to make DC10 CON death saving throws. 3 fails = death, 3 passes = stable at 0HP, these don't have to be in order. Nat 1 counts as 2 fails, Nat 20 = +1 HP. Allies can spend an action to stabilize you at 0 HP with a DC10 WIS check. So in 3.5 (or the way we played it, anyway), you're dead at -10 HP. If you hit 0, you're disabled, and at the end of each turn you can try to stabilize (if you're conscious), and if you fail you lose 1 HP. Your friends could also help you stabilize. So if something took you to -10 HP, you died instantly, but you could be anywhere from -9 to 0 and still technically alive, just trying to stabilize and recover.
Dunno how it works in NEXT, though.
Edit: I like the way the Pokemon system does it, where you're not dead until -100% HP, but you're negative under 0HP (unless you have Enduring Soul).

I hate you.
Is ok, I no eat tiny TLLOLOTGD Babies. Not enough meat, too stringy.
She tried to text me this morning btw. I just never replied. I'm pretty sure she's not going to let it go. In other house related news, female roommate who doesn't clean is moving out and whenever she says she's done cleaning I go look. I tell her it's not clean and she get's upset as fuck. I mean she can pay the fee if she doesn't want to clean it, oh wait you can't? Sucks.
