The amount of midrange hunters on ladder is just disgusting, and REALLY pisses me off how no-brainer it is. Anyone who consciously plays Hunter deserves to diaf. The current trend is to start taking anti-hunter shit like mass Sunwalkers AND Senjins to deal with it. Which also makes your matchups worse against decks like handlocks, but either way, you have to deal with it somehow. Divine Shields are making a comeback atm. | ||

They can use deadly shot on a divine shield'd minion like a Crusader, but he has only 2 deadly shots, and it eats mana away from cycling or doggie combos. I'm furiously rethinking my mage deck, but I can't find anything that works well enough to deal reliably (aka better than 50%) with the new midrange hunter, while not rendering my other matchups completely lopsided. My deck kills aggro hunter, but the midrange hunter is fking annoying, as my mirror images are more detrimental to me now (and removing those makes my matchups against everything else decidedly worse). | ||

Against aggro hunter, they're invaluable to stall for time/anti-aggro or give you space to melt their face, but against midrange hunter, its just free draws for them. But my 1-drops are rockbiter and both shocks, my only 2-drop is a loot hoarder, 10 cards are 3-drops (acolyte, SSC, the hexes, razorfen, one unbound, cobra, worgen). ... I received no 2-drops in all of my last 9 cards. T_T (and something like 4-5 total, most of which I declined early because hex/elem value). Got Doomhammer but I don't think it'll be very useful. I have no idea how good that draft is supposed to be, between the elems and the venture co., the hexes, the bloodlust, and a violet teacher with all these spells I have a fuckton of value late, and worst case I can hope for rockbiter and totems to stall the 2-3 first turns, but my first turns are so weak I'm 100% assured to give up momentul and board control. | ||

But holy shit, 4!?!?!?! fire elementals?!?!?!?!? Who cares about 1 drops and 2 drops, just drop totems. Shaman in a nutshell. Your draft is fine lol. It'd be better if you had some lightning bolts and a lightning storm, or spirit wolves, but you win late game guaranteed with that shit. 4 hexes may be too much, but who da fk cares. | ||

Right after that, Buzzard+UTH+Boar turn 5. Turn 6, double animal companion -> double Huffer. Turn 8 oasis snapjaw->houndmaster. Turn 9 Rocketeer and hero power for my last 2 HP. Urgh. Fuck this guy's deck, he drafted so much powerful stuff. x_x I never had a single chance to stabilise because I'd clear his stuff with my retarded amount of hex and some buffs (used DID and SSC to clear him) but he always had something to play with his mana the following turn, every single turn a combo on curve. I'd be curious to see how far he'll go. But the amount of value in his draft is retarded too. Lack of taunts got me I guess, I'm so vulnerable to good early drops, or tempo plays (yeti got destroyed by that huffer play), although if I live through that I guess I can smash the oppositon through sheer amount of pseudo-removal with hex and the elems. Next match is a Warrior, his cards are... yellow? I guess it's one of these new things, where enough ranked wins give people new shiny stuff? So he's got 500 warrior wins or something. Means he's probably either a huge grinder or a good player. Welp, gonna be 4-3 I guess. Goddammit warrior power + block mastery and he's got 30+11 armour while I'm on 13 HP and I had to burn all my hexes on shit like shieldmasta it's depressing. XD | ||

Hunter should wreck Shamans, just because totems vs doggies, and shaman weapons shortens the hunter's KO timing. | ||
