Honestly it's a bit of a personal preference. Painting -> assembling means it's easier to get to everything, but assembling -> painting is (imo) more convenient and seeing everything put together lets you make a more cohesive paint scheme. As for magnetization... if you're just playing with your friends it shouldn't matter that much. As far as I can tell with Trukks, the only options (aside from Red Paint which you can just paint on) is your weapon into a Rokkit Launcha and then putting the ram on front. You probably should decide what type of Boyz you want, though. Shoota boyz are a bit more viable (since they're, well, more shooty), while Slugga/Choppa Boyz need to get up to the front. Those you might need to model correctly, since it's confusing if a model does/doesn't have the right gun/close combat weapon. Imo it's a much smaller deal with vehicles, usually.

Yeah, all I've made so far is the Trukk and 2 Boyz. I'll likely have questions for you at some point in the near future about how I decide what I want for the Boyz, but that can wait for now. It was really cool watching the Trukk come together. It's still kinda daunting to put things together, but I'm getting better and more familiar with the pieces.

I don't want to be at work tonight. OT is nice, but it gets really old really fast. ALL THIS CASH AND NO TIME TO SPEND IT. JK i could spend it but then I'd be poor again.

I don't know much about Orks Codex-wise but I know for things like Leman Russ configurations or Heavy Weapon Teams magnetisation can be useful. Still I thought it was worth bringing up just in case it's something Soniv might be interested in.

I had trouble last night getting a Biker together, I can't get things to line up right. Not sure if I did things in a wrong order or if I messed up somewhere. I'll be ordering more army things (namely, warboss + attack squig cuz attack squig) soon.

You paint it before you build it so you can paint things like the legs on the truck drivers that you can see if you look at the model but can't actually get to with a brush without touching the inside truck panels and fucking it all up. If you're serious about doing a good painting job with something like that you should always paint it before putting it together.
