They are more than likely the same people who get ragey when they lose to RNG. Nobody likes losing, thus playing the best deck in casual will always exist.
That's like asking why people pick OP characters in Fighting Games/League. It's the same idea.

Reason 1: finish daily quest quickly
Reason 2: afraid of ranked
Reason 3: try the deck out themselves before taking it to ranked
Reason 4: testing a variation of said deck
Reason 5: like to win, even if it's the equivalent of clubbing baby seals
Just a few normal reasons....

Now that I'm back to playing Hearthstone (ty iPad), I'm losing a LOT because I'm still getting the free cards on each hero.  I'm also not updating the decks at all before level 10. Turns out those aren't GREAT decks.
