Good morning friends! After our manga/anime discussion I reread Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer. I always remember it being good but every time I reread it still gets me right in the feels. What a fantastically written story.

Honestly when I was in Italy it was while Bush was president and people were a lot less friendly than the other times I've been in Europe, so maybe it wasn't a language issue.
I had trash thrown at me multiple times.
Everybody speaks English though.

I really want to know why you aren't considering a Nexus tablet.
Lets compare this thing to a Nexus 7.
I can't link it directly it seems but here's a comparison website: http://www.tabletnation.com/compare#
A Nexus 7 has basically the same computing power, a better display, and a better operating system (you do NOT want Windows RT) and costs less.
I have a Nexus 7, and it is amazing. I use it for all of the following: - Works as a second display for my laptop. - Used as a GPS and stereo system in my car. - Lets me watch twitch streams and netflix and whatever while I walk around the house. - Since it's Google you can do everything with it via voice command.
It's pretty great.

It's not that I think they're amazing. I've been considering a tablet for quite a while, but haven't ever pulled the trigger. Whenever one pops up on woot, it reminds me and I do a little research (hence why I keep asking).

What other mobile technology do you own?
Tablets are nice but I gave the one I had to my grandparents and I haven't really missed it either. The biggest things are probably for watching videos on a plane because doing so on my phone is too small of a screen and it also causes my phone battery to catch fire.
I originally thought about replacing my dashboard stereo with a mount for a tablet so I could use it for streaming music and also GPS, but my phone is almost the same thing for mild inconvenience (and a few hundred cost savings)

Dev team puts up a new live site last night. Any bugs that occur now fall to the Support team. And by Support team I mean the one person who is the Support department. And by that I mean me.
Alright, might as well get to it.

For me tablets are like, there's very little that they do that some other piece of technology you have isn't going to do. If you have a smartphone and a computer, your tablet isn't going to be giving you any new functionality.
What a tablet does do is increase the comfort and pleasure of doing some of those things. It's definitely a luxury buy, but once you have it you'll enjoy it a lot.
