Sure it's just a preference but I find it much easier and simpler to say "I don't like hanging out in huge parties where people only talk, I prefer talking in smaller groups of people" than something so vague that it's practically meaningless because it tries to cover all the bases. I never felt like I discovered anything about myself from a personality test, tests only raised more questions while giving no real answers. It really does feel like confirmation bias. If you really want to discover your preference for something 100% just go out, do it, and find out, nothing less is a suitable substitute. + Show Spoiler [yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay] + I would wholeheartedly agree the tests you take are dumb. You're much better off reading about it (cognitive functions etc). I tested way off from what I really am. Knowing the 4 myers-briggs letters only simplifies things. As humans we constantly categorize/compartmentalize so things are easier and quicker to convey. It doesn't limit you in anyway. Understanding yourself can help with satisfaction in life, coping with stressors, and interacting and communicating with people. If a coworker makes a statement I know how I would respond or the answer I'd be looking for with that question. However, I know she's an ISTJ after spending plenty of time with her. When she makes that statement I'm more apt to make a response that she understands and actually wanted in the first place. Happens all the time. At this point I may be agreeing with you though... the tests are dumb, it's better to get some understanding of personality types and cognitive functions and do some reflection in the real world ![]()

For all the years I watched anime, when I look back I regret not studying Japanese earnestly until way later. Having that level of Japanese language exposure and not doing anything with it makes me sad.

Am i OTGDing right? if you haven't seen kyousougiga then everything you do is wrong. would've said psg but that isn't for everyone then again, neither is kyousougiga...baccano!? I have no regrets mentioning this here but I'am certain it'll bite me in the ass someday. hah! gaayyyyyyyyyyy On April 04 2014 19:05 Crusnik wrote: Rurouni Kenshin is amazing, I have the 3 volume book set right behind me, one of my favorite manga's, and it's way darker than the anime, seeing Seito rip someone in half with his sword when he throws it is awesome. assuming you already have since you're a fan, but just in case - if you like the manga being darker than the anime then check out the trust & betrayal ovas. ruroken is my favorite 'old' shonen, although i still have shameless fun reading bleach these days (that kubotite art) On April 04 2014 13:23 Ketara wrote: Since this is now the anime discussion thread, I'm pretty excited for Mushishi S2. same here, it's rare that i appreciate an anime more than its manga but mushishi benefits so much from and executes so well on the show format. come to think of it, mushishi might be the only case. fmab comes close but i still prefer the manga

I'm also so glad Liar Game is back but it's the final arc T.T On April 04 2014 21:23 jcarlsoniv wrote: I spent far too long last night listening to Baby Metal. I regret nothing. Haha did you see that episode of Fine Brothers too? But seriously Babymetal is my new jam. Jokes aside the beat and guitar is surprisingly fucking awesome.

But part of the reason I love the anime is the animation/sfx style that it has, very fantastical and ethereal. I'm not sure if I'd enjoy it as much as a manga, but I'll probably look it up sometime before S2. They do youtube videos of "Kids/Teens/Youtubers/Old People React to X", and the latest one was Baby Metal. Sometimes their reactions are funnier than the videos they're watching. But yeah, line and Gimme Chocolate have been spinning since last night haha.

Major props to that dude.
