Sincerely, -A Curious Canadian. T-Tar has seen lots of play ever since Gen II. I assume you're not asking for a histoy of competitive T-Tat and more a focus on Gen VI however. With the nerfs to weather, Tyranitar is not quite a King as he used to be working the role in weather wars and providing an offensive threat, however he still has a lot of use and Gen VI gave a lot of options. On a note about weather, T-Tar was hurt a lot less compared to, say, Politoed as the 5-turn limit is not as big a factor since you're DDancing up, or you're using him as a Stealth Rocks/Weather war fight. And you still get the SDef boost. The first point in T-Tar's facour is obviously the Mega-Evolution which allows him to take a much stronger offensive role with the 164 (!) Base Attack stat post Mega-Evo. The buff to speed from 61 to 71 is nice but realistically there's not that many extra Pokemon you're outspeeding. Once you factor in +1 from DDance and Jolly you do get a nice advantage over lots of stuff and have a nice route to sweeping thanks to the fact Steel types can no longer wall your STAB Crunch. You also have 100% OHKO against things like Lando-T and Gliscor on the switch which is pretty important too. The standard sets from last Gen also still work (such as the Sassy SRocks set up). It's possible it's even better this Gen since the prevalence of Defog means you want someone with a fair amount of bulk to be able to keep putting Rocks up, the Dark typing gives you some good switch-ins and you have more offensive power than Hippodon so you can actually threaten something. You still have that 4x Fighting weakness but I mean, why are you staying in against that Lucario anyway? The nicest toy TTar has gotten is Assault Vest. In Sandstorm and some investments with Nature/EVs you can hit really silly SDef stats quite easily which gives you a very nice way to counteract momentum. You lose the power from the Mega Stone or the bulk from Leftovers but it's still a good choice. Alternatively Scarf-Tar can revenge things like Starmie and Latios which is nice. I guess the real issue is what you're looking for on a team and how T-Tar can fill it it since he an do a lot. You also have the problem of being limited to 6 Pokemon and sometimes T-Tar is good, but you just need something else right now. So yeah. Definitely sees a good amount of use and solidly OU.

Water/Ground with Storm Drain, because that's immune to water and electricity, and thus you need grass-type coverage to hit it. Of course, that 4x grass weakness means you don't exactly need STAB to do scary damage. yeahhhhhh goodra! he was buddies with my sword and shield guy. man i wish i remembered the names. i should not have played the japanese version.

How often are there pokemon tournaments? I know literally nothing about the Pokemon competitive scene so the links don't tell me too much, but I do have a rough idea. Thanks for the links though. Under the Smogon 6v6 Singles Rules, there are several Tiers: Ubers, OU, UU, RU, NU, LC In each tier, you can use anything that's below it but not above. (e.g. You can use UU in OU, but you can't use Ubers in RU)

There's a reason Quaggy and Gastrodon are niche. Alaric pls I'm already forced to google about any Pokemon name because apart from a few from gen1 (and stuff like Sudowoodo or Ho-oh or the legendary dogs (obv.)) I only know their French names. And none at all from gen... whatever Ruby/Sapphire was onward. MoonBear pls. >_> You have no idea how much effort I pour into this! (I thought Lucario was a legendary for a long time. He just had the campy name for it and people were talking so much about him.)

Alternatively, open a new window with the /popout link and then maximize that window isntead of fullscreen

Primary: Cleave (glyph = slow, or extra damage, or the explode on killing blow thing Primary boss fights: Frenzy with maniac. Secondary 1: Rend with bloodlust (healing) 2: Hammer of Wraith with rolling thunder (good DPS and the cone makes it hit way more targets) 3: Seismic slam with stun (80% stun wat) pick 1 Revenge slot 1: Revenge with blood law Buff slot 1: Warcry with whatever is optimal (10% life+regen atm) Defensive 1: Stomp with cyclone strike ruin (optional but very effective now that elites don't get the duration reduced it seems, or only by a little) Defensive 2: Leap with iron impact getting threatening shout instead of the secondary seems viable I heard of people using whirlwind, seems like ti sucks to me, you can't keep it going for that long and the damage increase is minor, its only good for power farming as far as I can see. Passives: Vit-->Armour, +25% armour, Superstition I don't see any other variance. Berserker rage is optional for 25% more damage and take rend so you never spend fury. I also feel a lack of ways to improve your damage other than that. Fury spenders don do a whole lot except for more AoE damage which you excel at anyway. I guess barbs just suck at single target damage. DPS is kinda stuck at 60k even though I have a 1350 DPS legendary and 3.4k strength. Obviously its due to lack of crit damage and crit% but there doesn't seem any easy ways to buff it up and abuse that crit monks with way of the hundred fists blazing fists overawe conviction mantra and faith in the light and breath of heaven gave you tons of ways to massively amp up your dps I guess barb is a bit tankier nowadays though
