We actually pretty much already had this match some time last week. 5 plats on one team, with Atrioc and durrhurr (both diamonds?) on the other team with 3 silvers or something. The plats won, despite durrhurr's terror jungle evelynn going like 9-0 in the first 10 minutes. Couldn't carry in the end.

You overestimate how big of a difference there is between Faker and a platinum. Literally all the plat player has to do is not die, ward, and ping MIAs and the game will be totally lost by 10 minutes for Faker's team.
The difference between bronze and plat is sooooooooo much bigger than the difference between plat and challenger.

I mean, it depends what sort of bronzies we're talking about here but in general 90% of bronzies would lose the game instantly.

I'm pretty sure that despite the fact that the plat WILL lose to faker, the plats in the other lanes and in the jungle would win so hard it wouldn't matter what faker did.
While Faker far outclasses a plat mid laner, the relative skill difference is huge. Faker will win by several kills and probably 30-40 CS by 10 minutes. The side lanes will probably both win by at least that amount, if not more. These bronzies are people who won't hit 50 CS by 10 minutes, and will probably be down several levels by then with as many or more deaths than the plat mid..
Faker pretty much has to be able to 1v5 in order to win this game, which is probably not happening.

There is a gigantic skill difference even between bronzes. (Your 0 elo bronzes probably can't even beat ai bot, while bronze i can probably carry vs bots?)
Using silver as a baseline is better, because there is a minimum skill level. I actually prefer gold, since even in silver the variance is huge.

Cept my friend Capnpie and I are both in bronze, and I know of a few others in bronze who I could assemble with a diamond if TL will be fielding the plats. I think we could win.

On top of that, my recorder didn't catch it. Now no one will ever know of this.
There was this really puzzling chase in a teamfight where I was side by side with a low health Jarvan (like 50 health) waiting for Ashe or Lux to take the kill, and... he just ends up getting away. I tried to Hymn of Valor to kill him, but I ended up killing Syndra instead. Strange times.
