Not really... I haven't touched orianna since the beginning of S3 and I only had 2 ranked games with ori, with a 0/2 record. I never played mid before, and only recently have I made an effort to main mid (i jumped around all roles except mid, I can say I can support/jungle/top at a high skill level.) I legit think that the role that fits me best is mid lane. I like the playstyle of a midlaner the most out of all the other roles, I just never tried cause I suck as CSing lol.

Are there any restrictions on champ select other than meta?

Like, if I've never played a champ before is it okay if I pull it out in an IH to learn?

So long as you have a reasonable knowledge of the champion's abilities. If we have to tell you what they even do we'll make fun of you.

I would think for the plat and diamond players that would be okay since It gives u guys a chance to get some advice as well. But for golds and below sticking to improving current champ pool is more productive IMO
