My general comment on the IHs is that post-game comments/critiques seem to be getting shorter and shorter (or non-existent at times). While games will naturally vary in the amount of possible critiques, an entirely silent lobby post-game is rather disconcerting, and not really conducive for constructive learning.

TBH, it's my fault for not heavily warding, despite knowing it was (probably) coming, especially pre-6, and after knowing Aura went straight for Mobility Boots, and failing to track his movements (the first death after knowing he was top lane was just an overaggressive play). Plays into my chronic weakness in solo lanes (aka jungler awareness). On that note, I probably should've laned with Raggle so I could give him more constructive criticism; however, as it was, my focus wasn't on bottom lane, so I couldn't give him anything constructive outside the vague basics. As is, I fear his first time playing an IH may be jaded because of the relative dearth of useful post-game comments on his play.

I popped in to spec that game briefly, and I couldn't tell if it was actually a serious game. Just looking at the names of the people playing, it seemed incredibly unbalanced. I'm sure at some point I'll work on my AD/lane with Raggles at the same time.

They should be learning about map control, objectives, team-fighting, etc. If they spend their game dying as a new champion they're not learning; just getting stomped. You can learn champs anywhere. edit: that's not to say these players have to use their best champs, but inhouses imo aren't the place to play some champ you've just picked up and are still learning the ropes on. I actually think it's really important to focus your training on just a small handful of champs. Keeping your training focused is important for learning. It's easier to improve 4 things on one champion than it is to improve 4 things on 5 champions. Knock them off one at a time. It also means that you're better able to pay attention to the overall learning when it comes to objective timings, map/vision control, lane rotations, etc. because you're focused on one role and don't need to keep changing your habits game by game. I grew leaps and bounds with my Nami in just over a week of playing in these IHs because I kept picking her over and over again and getting consistent, relevant advice that eventually started to stick. If I'd kept picking different champs, in different lanes, I highly doubt I would have progressed as quickly, and it likely would have been a waste of time. Even when I had to play a different lane, I was consistent in the fact that I picked the same champion in that lane each time. Again, so that advice was consistent and relevant. Even just the 4 or 5 games I got in as MF ended with enough advice to make my (already strong) solo Q adc games that much easier. Same with my J4 in the jungle, even though I think I've only had 3 or 4 games in the IHs. It keeps the information focused and concise, which is really important when you're learning something new.
