I couldn't get Twitch chat to work properly in Firefox. It probably had something to do with Noscript, but allowing scripts globally didn't fix the issue. Internet Explorer was a workaround that I hopefully won't have to employ next time.
Sorry to disappoint anyone who was expecting me to look like Deckard Cain.

So I just finished watching the VoD for the first time, and I'm impressed. I will rewatch it once I have a little more time on my hands to point out some stuff I didn't like, but right off the bat, I didn't notice anything, really. You're articulate, you're not awkward (something Studio's still struggling with after 100+ videos and offline experience at MLG), and you're insightful. I'm really looking forward to this show and how it's going to develop, I think you have HUGE potential to become big.

Just to nitpick, in the last 5 minutes or so of the last show, you said that in the pre-season patch Trundle's ultimate gets stronger due to the changes to penetration. However, that is not true, since reduction is always applied before penetration even in the current patch.

You're correct about the mechanics, but you're missing the big picture. With Flat Penetration actually useful, Armor/MR more costly, and Flat Penetration items less awkward, there are big incentives for you and your allies to actually stack Flat Penetration. In addition, % Reduction will actually work with % Penetration to enhance the effectiveness of Flat Penetration. So when you ult Galio your MPen stacking Xerath will be able to bypass all 279 of his MR.
It won't be overpowered in most cases, but generally speaking it will be more useful (and stronger in that sense).

If you want to get more viewers I'd suggest advertising this a bit on other forums too (even GD), IDK if you're already doing this. On GD ideally you want some moles digging up your thread every few minutes while your show is running.

EJ has a small LoL community hidden away in its Benefactor's Bar. Back when I played WoW I maintained the Warrior FAQ there (which resulted in this item being named after me). I used to play almost exclusively with them, up until phyvo dragged me to this forum.
And I did ask about the stream thing, it's like the fourth post on this page.
I'm still going to wait on Reddit. I'll see how many viewers I can pick up from the GD/getting the live thing setup first. If they're as fickle as you say, having more than a dozen people watching me would possibly help.

The point being, it's easier to walk you through something if I can talk to you, rather than typing out a step-by-step process. (Not that it's particularly difficult, I'm just lazy.)

Oops, sorry, haven't been checking this thread. You can get your stream to show up on TL by following the instructions here. Once that's done just click the arrow-button-thing in the middle-left of the site banner to mark it as live. Voila, it'll show up in the stream list. Alternatively, just set it up to auto-detect when your stream is live. (there's a button for it in your stream settings)

A comment from me - It would be nice if you created a list of all your episodes and a link to a VoD the same way the Day9 Daily thread used to do. At the very least, it would be good to have a link to a list of archived episodes. Makes it much easier to find or catch up on missed episodes!

Just had a "surrender at 20" game with a 7-0 Renekton before the 20 minutes mark. Happened that our top never warded nor racked up on pots so he died over and over to dives, and he let our Amumu get invaded at second and third blue because he tried to fight alone despite the pings. That was word for word what you talked about yesterday, reminded me of your show.

Just a random point of criticism: in your effort to talk slowly and be entertaining like Day[9] (doing a great job, btw), you tend to pause a lot and perform a Heath Ledger-playing-the-Joker smack of the lips. You may want to work on trying to pause without doing that quite as often because as soon as you notice it, it gets really distracting.

I am sad to report that I've lost the last 10 minutes of video for MwM6, and the Twitch archive has already cleaned that episode out. I'm going to upload the incomplete video, but no one who wasn't there will ever know what happened at the end of that ARAM.

My team eventually won, and I carried with my crazy Muramana-based Ezreal build.
#7 and #6 (incomplete) are currently being uploaded to the archives. I know I'm going to constantly hear about #6 cutting off suddenly, but I wanted to get what I had out there for posterity. The fact that it will forever be incomplete makes me depressed.
Twitch's archive was supposed to be my backup for when issues happened with xsplit's local recording, so I'm really upset that less than two weeks after recording the show it vanished (while older stuff is mysteriously present).

Don't be too depressed. Day9 had a similar loss of footage/archive. If anything, this is just a sign that the series will be a long running sucess.

This wasn't supposed to happen until episode 10, but because the special RP sale going on also applies to RP cards I'm going to move up my plans to give away RP cards during a show to episode 9. This way the lucky recipients can take advantage of the bonus RP.
I'll be posting about Mondays with Monte in LoL's GD for the first time as a part of this (in fact, this is a not-at-all subtle grab for more viewers), so unless people mysteriously start hating free money you'll all have some competition.
However, I haven't yet worked out the logistics (I thought I had 2 weeks, rather than 6 days). If any of you have experience with this sort of thing, are aware of any rules/hurdles, or have general advice now would be an awesome time to share.

No rules that I can think of, but advice-wise I think we've discussed it a little:
Your biggest problem is probably the fact that GD is a huge cesspool and stuff will fall off the front page in literally 30 seconds.
Sometimes the RP giveaways catch on, but sometimes you see the ones that are literally bumped by the OP 30 times in 3 hours and there are very few pageviews and no responses in the thread.
As always, as much as I don't like it, I suggest Reddit (50-->550 viewers doesn't lie) with a healthy dose of TL help for exposure.
Best of luck to you Monte; I'll help out where I can if you need it. All you need do is ask.
(And I won't bother competing for the RP since you're already a pretty generous guy )

To be fair, wave, the influx of 500 viewers was largely because of the game we were casting. EA vs Curse was a pretty highly skilled game, and Curse posted about us on their FB page.
But yes, I agree, a reddit post certainly helps.

I think I heard that there is a time period for gentle bumps, mostly for spam reasons. Something like a few hours to a day or so? The GD boards has the same sort of thing in effect as well I believe.

As far as Reddit goes, a lot of the time they don't like self-promotion but I never seem to get when it's okay and when it's not.
Often if someone else makes the post for you it would be perceived as ok because it's a very informative show that 'promotes discussion' and in that case it wouldn't be self-promotion?
I don't know, I still don't understand reddit very well. In any case, it's worth just making the post about your show and see what happens. If it stays up there I'm sure we can all help.

Apologies to sylverfyre, but his game was just a really, really good example of not needing to have perfect execution/runes to make these things work.

I actually have played jungle ez once before, but since then the passive (rising spell force) has been lowered in duration and turned out to be REALLY HARD to maintain!
Also, I DID see rammus rolling at me, but he came up so fast that I couldn't react in time! (I'm not sure E'ing away would have saved me, given my reflexes.)
Finally, I feel like a lot of my choices were influenced by the fact that well... Viktor was kinda getting crushed by Quinn mid lane.
Addendum: I now own lifesteal quints. Willing to try round 2

Monty loves his jungle Karthus. I liked the part where it went from everything going well into a lost dragon fight, then fast forward and the game is over. Because that's pretty much how that game felt... I'm actually kind of surprised at how easy the clearing looked.

jungle karthus is good. i really think with TF it could be used seriously but the mechanical level of junglers is not up there yet

Everything went downhill because our teamcomp was designed to dive Ez/Lux while making it hard/suboptimal for their team to dive us in turn (Karthus/Tristana/Lulu). The game looked fairly even, but pretty much all our advantage was concentrated on me, so when it came time for Diana and Nocturne to dive they didn't have the power to pose a real threat, and I couldn't supply enough damage by myself to eat through their tightly clustered team (in part because of my failure to build a Tear).
Jungle Karthus is still really, really good, arguably the best AP jungler in the game (forgive me Akali). You just have to be accurate with your Lay Wastes which isn't something most junglers are accustomed to, in addition to having an even greater map awareness requirement.
In other news, I'm going to be at parts of MLG Dallas, and next week's show will be an analysis of the same. Anyone planning on being there should let me know and we can meet up.

FYI Mondays with Monte is going to go on indefinite hiatus. I'll be doing a show today (6/3), but until everything else in my life dies down I can't really dedicate the time and attention to this that I'd like.
