Finally getting a team that can actually think is so gratifying after all the brainless dudes you can get. Our comp was actually pretty bad (Olaf top, Veigar mid, Fiddle jungle and Ashe/Sona bot, they had Shen, Taric and Maokai to peel/tank, Heimer and Cait to poke and do damage from afar) but because we could get our priorities straight and lay out teamfights properly, we managed to outplay them once we got past the awkward "they want to push mid, and if we try to do the same they camp the tower with Heimer/Cait". Sooo satisfying. I've had better teamcomps and lanes all evening but between those who type instead of playing, or that play HSGG wannabees (when you're Jarvan and not Shen, you don't push top mindlessly till you die), we eventually lost each of them. One game had a huge advantage but the team refused to group up after a certain point and we could not get any objective while the enemy caught up by winning outnumbering skirmishes. It's almost cathartic to see players with a brain. Also Olaf king of 100m through all 3 enemy peelers while high fiving each of them until you reach the carry and deny him one (using your hand to bash him into the ground instead). | ||

I was fuming hardcore but queue up for one more. I am olaf vs AD sion top. I zone him, end up trading kills twice (cause I am not really that good, should ahve been easy kills). then solo sion for another kill. I am up in cs by 30 and a kill, but my the rest of my team is down 0-6. I leave lane a lot to help out which lets sion freefarm top for about 5-10 minutes. I buy an executioner's calling and a randuins, and tell trundle to rush a frozen heart (their team had tryndamere, ezreal and AD sion). I use exe on sion every fight and beg my team to focus him down with me (had to argue down cait who said to focus ezreal). They get baron and push us down to take inhib. We manage to catch a couple of them as they backed off, though. From that point we win every teamfight and everyone actually listens to my calls for when to baron and when to push inhib (after i argue with them and ping furiously). Felt very good to throw a team on my back and carry hardcore finally. Like, not just get fed carry but actually make calls and get people to listen. Also I thought the exe calling/randuins rush was clutch against that team. Sigh, after re-reading my story it doesn't sound that impressive. Whatever, it was a whole lot of fun. | ||
