And Cure is still struggling in TvZ.
Really weird that GuMiho didn't come up with something off meta on the new patch

That 2-2 timing from Gumiho was pretty strong, but he just didnt have the ability to split the Bio army effectively enough. And starting 3/3 upgrade in the middle of it wasnt the best thing neither, need more widow mines, or 2-3 tanks to anchor the position.

Well Solar is just better than gumiho, no surprise its' a boring final. Regarding balance it's pretty clear to me that if you take into account all the expansions and smooth the occasionals advantages for each race (WOL tvt, LOTV first adepts, infested terran and broodlord infestor) zerg was at an advantage terran in the middle and protoss lagging behind.

Yeah, but I think Cure problem lies to the way he counter longer macro games. He is easily got swarmed whenever the player is Rogue, Dark, Reynor or Serral but no Solar or Elazer.

this year they are 9-8 in series in favor of Gumi so I wouldn't say Solar is just better

Yeah, and look likes Solar just prepares the game better. Last time, we saw Solar made indecisive move quite frequently, ended up his armies mostly got obliterated before the real battle happened. It seemed like he managed to tune down that habit a bit.

Interesting stat, but Gumiho's run in DH Summer (Wiki)

ESL Pro Tour/2023/24/Masters/Summer seems like a fluke similar to Oliveira's Katowice run, I doubt we will see him hit that form again soon

This finals feels like Maru vs Ragnarok in reverse
