That surround by Serral was sick but so so unnecessary from Ragnarok. He knew the lings were there. He knew he was at best even in army. I guess he knew he had the upgrade lead for a tiny bit longer, and figured he needed to use it, but ... the lings were obviously going to come from behind. So either he shoves straight into Serral's base and gets into a position where the lings don't matter, or he dies... and the latter is just wayyyyyy more likely when you first have to move across the map with a fairly equal army.
