Seems like wardi gets the permission, all good

Wow pretty sick match ! It should get to Maru vs Serral, I'm genuinely hyped

Not sure I will cast still, our permission to stream is only to restream somebodies restream of the chinese stream. So no game sounds, no idea how quality will be :/

Wtf Big sad Could as well draw the maps on a Whiteboard then and Paint the game on there and it would probably be better quality the a Re-Re-Restream

That is so strange. Did they ever explain why?

I'm guessing they want full control over the broadcast. At the end of the day it's their event and their (quite considerable) money, it's reasonable that they want to be sure everyone know it's theirs.
If I'm honest, I kind of prefer that, obviously having to follow the chinese obs isn't the greatest, but I much preffer having all the WTL overlay, the desk, the transition, the music, the Hexagons and the weird shrimp add that come with watching a rebroadcast. It add some personal flavor to the event. (No offense to Wardi, but we do see your room pretty much every other tournament)
I have to say it's been a while since I've watch non-english SC2, but I seem to remember that either ESL or WCS did it that way too? (I could be wrong though)

You realize you get all of that (the overlay, desk, transitions, music etc) with a clean feed which we can cast off of? Now we won't have game sound / music etc because we have to cast from the chinese stream where they are commentating in Chinese. We cast off a clean feed for WTL and it's no issue, I prefer it because of all the graphics, but it sucks that originally we had to restream a restream. At least now we are getting a direct feed from the chinese stream, so we can have higher quality but still no sounds.

IT'S a NetEase owned invitational, not WTL official match, SCboy have no right to issue permission unless NetEase allows them to.

I know why, not complaining, they have every right to do so, just explaining the situation

Does Serral wish to participate in the next WTL? That requires Ence to hire two more players to make a 3-people roster first. Anyway, Reynor's Qlash has confirmed that they plan to participate and look for more players.
Whoa!! Looking forward to that
