Heromarine is a great player and Serral is less invincible than he has been in the past but come on, Heromarine has shown very little indication of being able to take out Serral or Reynor in a high stakes series.

Casters forever hype up Gabe as if he’s a peer of a Serral or a Reynor. He’s a fantastic player but he isn’t that. He can beat them sure but he’s got to play out of his skin and have them maybe be at 90/95% of their top form.

We usually are very quick to point out that it's "top three EU - clem, serral, reynor, and Heromarine is the Gabekeeper who fights for 4th with Showtime/Lambo/Maxpax ". In open cup casts, in DH casts, so on and so forth. Rotti and I have just recently been casting HM's TvZ's and been very impressed, that is the honest truth of it. Serral also did not look like he was in top shape in his ZvZ (obviously different match up, different opponent, but there were macro mistakes) and I personally was looking at the first game to see if he was in top shape for TvZ. He was, so he won.

I’m honestly tired of casters hyping up the game and trying to spread false narratives about the state of the game.

The foreign scene has always been pretty much exclusively dominated by zergs (Naniwa, Major, Thorzain, etc, can hardly be considered domination). Let the casters help us believe that terran is a race available to foreigners. Clem exists?

Everyone has their bugbears, I find Heromarine matches, especially if he’s playing a good Korean it’s borderline unlistenable. If it’s a reasonably comparable talent like say, Special, be it in GSL even with Tastosis who personally know the guy, or elsewhere it’s, generally fine. If it’s Heromarine it’s ‘Big Gabe’ memes half the time, talking about how great he is to the ignorance of his opponent’s chops the other. Maybe it’s just me and my particular sensibilities.

On the other hand, Special seems rly overhyped in these threads who give the impression he is currently at gabe's level while he is not since a good year.

Clem is kind of a TvZ specialist tho, he could refine his matchup to where it is because 2 of the ''Zerg Horseman'' play in Europe. He's not much better(if at all) than Heromarine in TvT or TvP. Not like Serral and Reynor who play world class Starcraft in any matchup.
