I don't his choice of strategy to begin with. Ever Dream is large and he just showed that he's in great shape if he can hold out to Hive and great the dream comp out. Made it unnecessarily hard on himself imo.

Am I the only one who‘s pretty sure that this game doesn‘t mean anything? I‘d be really surprised if there wouldn‘t be the rematch between those two in the decider.

Stats is pulling a zerg by trying to win by purely outmining his opponent. I'm unsure as to why DRG didn't try to aggresively expand earlier, he would've been in a much better position.

Failed v committed roach all-in by DRG, Stats chilled for 20 minutes and built up a 17k bank while being on same/more bases than opponent, a-move into ez win.

DRG is just losing the multitasking battle it seems. It's so weird seeing this game and comparing it with how he overran terrans in the GSL. How do his mechanics appear so different between two matchups

Nah, it feels more like he is read like a book. Note how Stats photon'd up only on the slightest clue of low ravager count.

And now DRG sits on hydra lurker without vipers or corruptors against carrier-storm. Hopeless.

Well, round one goes to Stats. Pretty sure we‘ll see this match again reall soon. However, I was not very impressed by DRG‘s play there and if he doesn‘t up his game quite a bit, he won‘t advance here, imo. He went for some wonky stuff in both games and in both games it absolutely didn‘t pay off. It might just be that he doesn‘t like the current meta in the matchup, but he seemed to be really eager to attack all the time, which doesn‘t really seem to be necessary as Zerg in ZvP nowadays.

We‘ll see if he does it better in the decider
