Add to that him bringing some really smart tailored builds and game plans and, ouch. Mechanically he's far from his peak but him bringing in creative builds makes up for it pretty hard. You see it a lot with players who start to lose some of their physical skill (in esports in general actually)
It's painfully obvious the way his micro has declined from his peak, but his macro has held up pretty well.

It's not like he signed up to a qualifier like with any other tournament. No, it was for the top6 players in the Code S, since they don't play placing matching for players who lost in the RO8, they played against each other. Maru v Dark and Trap v Dear.

Did they not just invite the highest points scoring Koreans with the new system and they needed a tiebreaker between those two?

They literally invited to Dark and Maru to play for a spot. Most online events require players to sign up themselves and go through qualifiers which isn't what happened here.

I did, but I still don't know why he's called Bread.

I’m still a bit torn on this. I would say he doesn’t hit peak execution as relentlessly as he used to back in the day, but he still can when he’s in top shape.
On the other hand I’d say the general ability of other Terrans to micro has improved over the years, so what used to be exceptional from Inno is close to the norm for a top tier pro now.

It was so obvious that INno would proxy 3 rax in this game. Even if it loses he'll do the same in game 5

Maybe Koreans just like food-related nicknames? I still remember the Spoon Terran .

At this point Reynor needs to go full Tefel (if i recall that one series right) or something.

This is a pretty fun series.

the only thing I hate about Korean Terran is their stubbornness about the proxy rax in TvZ, they clearly know they have a better chance in macro game and still go for the cheese regardless.
