I also wonder if it makes less NA players sign up. A lot of notable absentees this week, and still quite a number of EU players.

Are there really that many absentees? It seems similar to the previous weeks to me. Regardless I'd attribute that more to the day of the week changing than the hour though. edit: Also idk what to make of Clem crushing Special after losing to Marinelord earlier.

The most obvious NA absentees are Neeb, Future, Masa and Jonsnow. They were all playing in last week's EPT cup which was at the same timeslot, but now they've gone missing and I wonder if it has to do with their preferences. They used to play in NA challenger all the time so I consider them pretty important. It's probably a combination of the day and hour changes.

I wouldn't consider any of them regular participants though, given that they haven't participated in these more often than not. In fact I hadn't realized that Masa had participated in any of these cups.

How does he make it to the Finals at 6:30 am? Betting Special 3-0 while pratically asleep is quite impressive. Also wondering, why no one mentioned it yet. Whenever a Korean loses at TSL, everyone spams "it s 1am there allready" Quite worried about his sleep schedule at this point, pulling an all nighter every Monday doesn t sound too amazing Same goes for Namshar today, pretty impressive. At least he isn t an NA Cup regular...

If I d be in Clems Position, I d Proxy rax every game now. No matter the outcome, tue games at least would be short than the last one And Proxy rax never loses in Tournaments anyways

Some players participating in two events isn't really a problem imo. For regional competition we have the revised ESL Pro Tour circuit already. So forcing some players to gamble between playing the EU event or the NA event (or the KR event or the NA event), just seems to create problems where there weren't any previously.

E: I don't think the Korean one was correctly seeded either.

Clem is #43, Heromarine #70, Showtime #79 for some examples.
