I feel like people are often reluctant to go full basetrade out of fear that the opponent has something stashed away somewhere that they've missed, even though it's unlikely. Eventually he must have realized that obviously wasn't the case here.

The way it looked to me, those Terrans practiced WAY harder for PvT than for their TvT match and MC practiced for his PvP a lot more.

I'm surprised MC was confident against the Terrans and not Stats. Double PvP was his only shot at getting out of this one from the start imo and even that was a longshot. It sounds like he's playing until the end of the year at least given that he says he wants to qualify for Blizzcon, so maybe by the next season he can get back into form.

Terran players are shameless. I know that a lot of people are calling Toss imba these days but I honestly just think it's an excuse for people with no skills. Regardless of the map or race, the superior player always wins so I just don't understand why they behave that way. I don't even understand why sometimes the winning players start whining.

This is true, but most of the wins from Classic were early in the year before Maru really caught fire and in less high stakes situations. Furthermore, Classic got totally owned in their last encounter and at the peak of his PvT prowess (which I'm not even sure if he's retained). sOs on the other hand either made it close all year or dominated Maru.

yeah I've had no faith in sOs to do well since the start of lotv, he's had a couple good runs but it doesn't seem like his old play style works as well
