Yeah, incontrol looks like the world's buffest, most disappointed librarian ever in that picture :p

The potential caster pairings are more interesting to me that most of the possible group stage 1 games. PiG + Rotterdam looks to be the top possible duo and should definitely cast the finals. Rapid + iNcontroL will be amazing, a complete disaster, or both. The rest are either meh or hard to picture.

Is there an agreed upon spelling for how Pig says "oh no"? "auuuuuue nauuuue" perhaps?

Group O is clearly the toughest one. Bummer for (probably) Optimus, since there are groups with 2 masters players in them.

GL to GG Emini and Wardi as underdogs. Hoping Showtime, Snute and Elazer all make it through easy too. Shame Nony couldn't come I was looking forward to see how he fared but a newborn is more important.

Let's go Scarlett!

Group stage 2 has 18 zergs, 9 protoss and 5 terrans. Great that qualified players will balance that out in group stage 3.

eh, a week or more to prepare for a group with barely any travel vs a trip halfway across the world with one days rest with no specific preparation is different enough and the whole of group A were GSL players so its impossible for them to all get through.

2 years ago, anyone who qualified for Code S getting knocked out before RO8 at any foreign tournament would have been one of the biggest upsets of the year.

Showtime and uThermal out in the 3rd group stage.
Did not see this happening.
And great to see Snute battle it out.

Mana takes out uThermal 2-1, that's really good news for Scarlett and Kelazahur for WCS points!

Kelazhur got his wish.

Elazer and Special have been in same group and now might meet again in Ro8, this can't be right (well WCS rule book is super unspecific so it does not violate their rules from what I can see, but still highly unusual.

Scarlett vs Nerchio and Bly vs Special probably will be most excited ro16 matches to watch

Stephano is actually extremely good, back in a very good shape, however his zvz is beyond terrible. What a shame.

At least we get a Neeb vs Serral final. The only other player that can beat Neeb usually is Showtime

Wow Mana TLO and Stephano in ro16, some old school revival

It's nice to have fully foreigners tournaments for a once a while. Neeb is looking like a slight favorite to win the tournament with a tiny home ground advantage If held in europe then serral would be favorite. Scarlett and Nerchio has a chance too. And maybe few others

Aww shame Clem didnt make it
