In short, Stats walked out on the map and majOr went around and locked him out of his own base with liberators. Stats was stuck outside while his base died

Hardly unforced. He didn't really have a way to deal with the liberators slowly creeping forward, so he went for an unwise move out. Backing off would have been wiser, but even then I don't think he wins if MajOr doesn't make mistakes.

Snute has been one of my favourite players. But I just can't handle the thought of a Stats vs TY elimination match

Sure they are strong and engaging them head on is a bad idea, but Stats had 3 tempests. If he just defended there's no way Major could break him.

He doesn't get broken, but I think he still loses in the end. Gives him better chances of course.

Simply put, terran made liberators, best player in the world was pretty helpless.

Some WP harass, especially with blink DTs, is really lethal in lategame PvT when the Terran army has to constantly seige up.

GTFO with the balance whine.
Stats isn't even the best player in the world, especially after that debacle of a series. Rogue or Inno holds that title.

If Stats had any claim to that title he certainly lost it today.

Snute the drone king? Somehow I still remember Ret with his 100+ drones any game he could macro.

Inferior economy, and MajOr would've gotten some more damage done before tempests reach critical mass to push it back. So I think MajOr ends in a winning position, though whether he can convert it is of course debatable.
Meanwhile bio TvZ up 1-0 against mech TvZ this tournament.
