But still, the GSL champion losing to a guy who failed to qualify is....unexpected to say the least. Even with his inconsistency his skill floor should be above Zest. And Gumiho said himself that TvP is his best MU. Zest played quite well though. Everyone knows Zest has the potential to beat GuMiho, and anyone else in the world. I find that reaction hard to justify just because he's done poorly for a while. People practice and improve, and in this case you're talking about a 3x GSL champion. He hasn't beaten a good player in an offline match the entire year.

I have to agree. You can say Zest won 3 GSLs and it be true. But it's just misleading, because GSL has different levels of tournaments. Saying someone won GSL normally refers to Code S

Nobody denies that Zest has the potential. He simply has not shown any sign of using that potential for all of 2017. Until now, at least.

It shows why it's surprising to see him beat Gumiho despite we are all knowing he has the potential.
