jjakji, it's time to redeem yourself for all those lackluster performances... AND LET'S GO DARKUU!!!

...I went for jjakji-Dark but Cure is always a mystery (never seen him play in the last months) so maybe he can come out of nothing and take it all...

Cure 1-2 jjakji
Leenock 0-2 Dark
jjakji 2-1 Dark
Cure 1-2 Leenock
Leenock 0-2 Dark
I'm going with the long shot of having Jjakji in first. I think he's been showing rapid improvement lately and is in his best form in years. Would love if Leenock followed him but I don't see it.

Jjakji beating Dark, that's a bold prediction. I agree, he's improved quite a lot in recent times, however I doubt he's capable of beating the best zerg in the world just yet

Yeah im intrigued to see how Cure is dong. Terran pretty strong right now, has a team and a team house to practice with. Has very good practice partners on said team so he should be able to do something now right? Show us the old Cure, multi tasking dropping and solid play!

Cure 1-2 jjakji Leenock 0-2 Dark jjakji 0-2 Dark Cure 2-0 Leenock Cure 2-0 jjakji
rematch curse strikes again.

If Dark doesn't advance then there is something wrong with terran tbh^^

No, Cure = God, so , he will advance.
And jjakji is farming the ladder more than dark+inno

In Korea atm, can someone please link me info about how to get to GSL? Someone told me to get off at Sillim station but another friend said he thinks it moved. Tyty

Pretty weak group. Dark should 4-0 and Leenock should 0-4. The other two can cheese each other to decide who makes it out.

No matter how strong Terran is, Dark is not gonna lose to two mediocre Terrans.
Dark and Cure will advance.

right after he snipes the medivac i talked about above, cure feigns a low ground siege at jjakji's natural and jjakji moves his tanks down the ramp, cure's tanks get into positionwhile this happens and the game ends

Cure is winning because of the fundamental weakness of Dark's corruptor play. Yea it saves him money since you make less mutas, its better at killing medivacs, but it has 0 counter-attack potential. Dark tried to make up for it with ling/bling counters, but that wasnt enough to stall the timing until ultras.

As long as soO doesn't get to endgame he's fine. And to be fair that happened like twice in his career vs Inno and Taeja.

Cure lost one of his 3 orbitals and half his SCVs to counter attacks. He had a bigger army but he gave Dark enough time to retake the bases. And from that point on it was a matter of time until Dark recovered. Time Cure gave him, maybe because he only had 2 orbitals and he knew burrow and infestors were on the cards.

Hey zerg doesn't need more, just a move a ton of banelings and zerglings and you are fine if the terran cannot split for shit (aka isn't better than Byun at splitting)

I can't split for shit, but I also build lots of Mauraders and Hellbats so generally in Gold, it's down to decision-making and position rather than mechanics.
Because my opponent and I are both trash.

Just curious but do people think we'll see more jinair players grow to the top in 2017? Other than maru/sos (aka the carries)
According to certain players the kespa teamhouses are some kind of unfair advantage but so far the skill seems to say consistant throughout. Maybe the players are still friends/practicing together I guess

Maybe the players are still friends/practicing together I guess Well i think we are at a point where the kespa teamstructure isn't really all that important anymore. Why? Just look at JinAir, they have 6 players total. There simply is no real focus on success (anymore). We can only speculate though, but i wouldn't be surprised if JinAir will be gone sometime this year as well. Especially now without any teamleague what's really the point? I doubt there is much professional support going on besides being able to live in a teamhouse, getting food, etc
|
I think teamless players are practicing harder because they are lot more motivation when u known u will eat pasta and water for the next 2 month if you lose

Well after that TvT series im glad they both got eliminated.

if you have been following SC2 for long, you would not say Byun is "the most mechanically gifted player". He is just the best at micro at the moment. For macro, there are Innovation, Maru (2015) and Soo (2015) to come on top.

Byun gets overhyped a lot. One reason is that anything which happens atm obviously HAS TO BE the best we ever saw and pretty much anybody "important" in the scene uses this as a method to say "look we still have an awesome scene even without PL and stuff!" It gets old imo, sometimes being reasonable is better than endless positivity But hey what do i know, Byun is probably the best rts player ever

It's probably Cure.
Byun was over hyped before the disbands, because he is very emotional and he was teamless. I don't like him.
