Anything Stats does, Myungsik can counter with his standing army and tech he has. Blink stalkers? Immortal/adept wins. Phoenixes? Not enough on the ground, and Myungsik can just keep making phoenixes with the air control he already has.

You're saying he should have made a stalker/phoenix army, but that would have been a horrible choice here. And there wasn't enough money for stalkers, phoenixes, immortals AND adepts. Which is what he'd have needed here. Stats' best shot would have been to skip immortal production in favor of an almost pure adept/archon army and hope he can win with numbers. Phoenixes would be useless in that fight at least, and archons can tank a disruptor hit, as well as micro out of it much better.
