This SSL challenge are only these 4 days, and it seems that interesting that we can wake up early for it. I was afraid, it will be a timing for the whole season of GSL. | ||

I think Proleague will be an hour earlier on Monday and Tuesday though. | ||

Nice to see him win this, but how much do we value this victory? At the end of the day it was a 4 player tournament, pretty hard to say  | ||

Aside from the lack of hype and tight scheduling so close to Proleague finals, I'm really not sure why people would see this as an 'exhibition' tournament. Cross final is a success! | ||

And when you can do that, I don't really think it matters if it's a 4 player tournament. You're still pretty damn good and it's still a strong showing. Obviously he didn't win a GSL today, but it was a great performance nonetheless. | ||

I mean it's almost impossible to qualify for it, let alone win it, for the vast majority of pro players. And it's not like it's Blizzcon where some participants get to play months after they've dropped out of their peak form. So it's a high level competition that's incredibly hard to get to. I don't think the fact that it's 4 players hurts a lot. Obviously it's not anywhere near the level of a Starleague, but this year I don't think anything is, as I'm doubtful about the "Global Playoffs". It would have been nicer if it hadn't been on the same weekend as Proleague playoffs though, I think that would have elevated the level a bit more. Not just the level of play mind you, also the hype levels. | ||

now even if they are lost in proleague, KT Rolster has become the king of individual tournament :D Grats to Stats... I'm rooting for TY vs Stats final but oh well... | ||

Still i feel like it would be more hype if it were more players, say top 4 of both leagues for example, you could make groups, etc. Still, the games are high level and as you said it's likely that the players are still on their a game, so it defenitely is good enough. | ||

So make it more like the 2013 WCS season finals? I liked those so I wouldn't mind. Doesn't seem feasible to do that on a single day though, and I reckon being able to do it on a single day was probably important to the organizers. Especially since it being multiple days would just be a scheduling disaster with Proleague on weekends. Meanwhile, remember when they announced KeSPA Cup would take place in May? What happened to that? Someone go annoy Wolf about that. | ||
