Senseless bashing of foreigners and WCS game quality is not permitted today. Criticism is fine, but let's not repeat yesterday's mess. Games can be enjoyed without the presence of constant vitriol. 14:18 GMT (+00:00) Edit: This is your friendly reminder that whining about Protoss is an old and tired thing. Don't. -Zealously

I would have liked Mana to win (home town hero, TL, among the nicest non-Finn players I've met)... but well played and congrats to Lilbaguette!! :D ___________________________________________ I've been saying for a long time that we should have "foreign" tournaments. Maybe the wcs format was better than a weekend tournament, but either way it was nice to see the results (viewer count, LR post count, twitter feed etc)! I do think we've seen growth of the foreign players (vs "expats" - foreign Koreans). A year ago the four Koreans would have at least made up 3/4 of the semi-finalists. I hope we continue to see this sort of player representation in foreign tournaments. On September 14 2015 13:02 frazzle wrote: I missed the draw game. Mana probably finds the CC, but why not let it play out? Seemed uncomfortably weird to watch. many do think the match was paused early (I did at first)... however BOTH players agreed to a draw. Mana didn't have a realistic chance to win (dead zones for floating buildings) and forGG had a very small chance to win (use his one scv to build a hidden supply depot (or cc), trade his army, get cloak and banshee (all without mana finding the buildings that needed to land for this to happen). Most likely it would have ended in a draw and both players seemed to feel that way too. Even if forGG would have won from that situation, given how he had been playing (as then continued from the re-game) he wasn't going to take the series...

I cringed at how many bad decisions Hydra and ForGG made and they pretty much deserved that lost even though I was cheering for them. same. They just did not deserve better (ForGG deserved a game 5 though)

ForGG couldn't lose, and would have outright won had he got a banshee out. He probably didn't know MaNa had no detection so I guess that's why he agreed to a draw, but the pause was far too early and gave up far too much (maybe false) information.

Code S is highly overrated , obviously the best players are there but i'm pretty sure that the top 4 eu would not be ridiculous (even if there is obviously a significant gap with the top world like inno maru etc) This is like tennis , big four and the world.

Sadly the top 4 wouldnt even be top50 in korea. Sc2 seems to be quite figured out, so the brutal amount of training will guarantee korea's dominance.

Life is impossible, but a bit less I'd say ![]() And why is that? I'll admit that Maru, Innovation and Byul are really tough opponents. But in PvP everything can happen, it's the matchup that got Naniwa into the Ro8 twice (not taking anything away from him!) plus Lilbow already beat Rain 2-0 in the past. And since Life joined KT he is really far from beeing an impossible opponent, his play has been mediocre at best for quite some time now (barely made it out of Code A). By the way, I'm really surprised by the amount of people who want to trashtalk Lilbow by any means only because he's not a korean/their favorite player. This is the first time in years that a foreigner has won a major event convincingly! If Jaedong would have one this tournament all the haters would probably cry tears of joy just because he's a former legend, not matter if he sucks nowadays... but god forbid there is a new talent, then you need to tell the people who are happy for Lilbow at least three times that he'll stand no chance @ Blizzcon.

Let us wait till Blizzcon and seeing him getting 3-0 by whoever plays him whether life / maru or anyone. Hopefully RO8 will be pure again.

There is no difference between korean and foreigner protoss nowadays because of the skill ceiling so, even though it's very sad for Starcraft as a competitive "hard" game, he can beat anyone at Blizzcon with ease.

So... he can beat Maru with ease for example? Or... he can beat Byul with ease for example? Or... he can beat... you know... herO with ease maybe? My problem in short is that because of his race (Can't believe I went so low talking about this...) He is able to compete in a tournaments with people that have a full time job called "progamer" and paid a fixed salary for it. Live in a team house and practice for over 10 hours a day and they have been doing it for years. Now someone came out of nowhere after winning WCS after removing all the good koreans from it and say "I can compete evenly with them". That is completely illogical.

On another note, it is confirmed that Millenium is looking for a korean gaming house for Lilbow to stay there untill blizzcon.

Wait for Blizzcon and give him a chance. Btw: He beat Rain 2-0 at last Homestory Cup. GSL champ. So there is a room for him at blizzcon. On another note, it is confirmed that Millenium is looking for a korean gaming house for Lilbow to stay there untill blizzcon. With all due respect, so far him beating Rain is an anomaly. He lost to HyuN & Jaedong at the same tournament, which should theoretically be an easier matchup for him than Rain. There will be always some random variance, so this one result doesn't mean he could beat these strong Koreans at their peak. On the other hand, with back-to-back finals he's proven he's the best foreigner we've got right now in my eyes. At this point, I had more confidence in Naniwa in 2013, and Snute in 2014 (if he had made it), because they both had experience going toe to toe with strong Koreans. If Life gets close to his god-mode again for Blizzcon, it will take seriously inspired play to stop him. Lilbow is on top of his game and seems motivated to become the best, so I'm really happy he gets the chance to at least prove himself. Looking forward to seeing him at Blizzcon!
