Yes that's a possible answer, as long as you 13 scout immediately the proxy location. However, if the zerg notices and cancel the hatch you won't be that much ahead cause you wasted 250 minerals delaying your own nexus while zerg lost only 75. It's about the same situation you're in when cannon rushing a gold base.

Didn't this happen in Trap vs Life? Trap showed the cannon and cancelled it after the hatch cancelled

You can scout it and canon it and not let the Zerg know
