Trap knew, he scouted it with hallucinated phoenix, then tagged the hydra's with the oracle, but his army mostly consisted of sentries which don't deal well with hydra's on their own. On top of that, Life did actually execute that extremely well. Trap's best bet was to hold both entrances, but Life identified the weaker side and maintained an arc on the bottom while slowly chipping away at the other base, basically checkmating Trap. If he tries to engage, the arc is too good and he loses his army, if he doesn't engage, he loses his natural and main. | ||

Life decides to attack the wall with like 2/3 of his hydras, with the remaining hydras and lings waiting a bit behind to flank the main army in the third if it comes to help. It feels awesome, but can someone more knowledgeable walk me through the datils a bit? I mean, can't toss like split of the forces or something? The problem with hydras is that they deal damage extremely fast with a relatively good range. Trap really needed to engane optimally, somwhere where he would be able to force some of the hydras to wander around aimlessly. He wanted Life so badly to attack the 3rd, but Life did not take the bait. The area in front of the nat is just too big, the range on forcefield is not long enough, so he would have to walk around a his shit would be dieing in the process. | ||
