:D but Wolf is the best name.. will name my child Wolf aswell.. somebody knows if Wolf speaks German? I mean it's like 100% clear that he has German roots.
Wolf is pretty rare as a name, even in Germany. Most people are called Wolfgang or Wolf-"second prename" (Wolf-Rüdiger for example) and even that name is really old. A cool name for sure, but maybe I would go with Welf instead .
Oh and the Snute vs Inno hype is so high, almost forgot we get to see Life afterwards. So sick .
The only way Snute has a chance is if Inno has become cocky after he find out he will play vs a foreigner.Inno didn't practice or studied Snute cause of the cocky attitude mentioned above and he will get stomped 3-0.This is purely theoretical thinking..but what if?...what if?. Game 1: Snute goes for a ling bane bust (unscouted) vs a 3CC build Game 2 : Snute goes for a 1 base 5-7 roach push(unscouted) vs a 3CC build Game 3: Snute goes for a 14-14 ling all in vs proxy racks. Bang 3-0 Snute.
The real deal?.... Bang... Inno 3-0......but what if? what if?
I hope Snute has prepared. Also what do you guys suggest between: - Stop following the LR and everything right now, and try to watch the VODs later on without spoilers - Follow everything now and watch the VODs later anyway

I would stop and watch the vods I think. But then you have to avoid reddit, twitter etc. too.

I don't reddit or tweet, so that shouldn't be too hard. I just have to avoid TL and facebook... But waiting is hard. Also, if Snute doesn't get demolished and wins or it's close, i'd miss all the hype. Damn, working sucks.
(I'm glad Kespa Cup days 2 & 3 happen this weekend, at least I'll be able to watch those !)

Its not Snute's problem, every zerg has this problem since SH nerf.
Y'all making fun of Snute for that 11 viper into his army, which yes was stupid, but I think nobody expected Innovation to actually mass BCs. I think the Vipers would have made sense against ravens. Up to that point Snute was rather dealing really well with Innovation's mech. I'm actually more afraid for him if he goes bio, Not sure Snute can keep up with the robot mechanics. Go Snute tho!

At this point i'm pretty convinced the only reason korean leagues invite foreigners is because they can't directly give walkovers to certain players because that would look stupid
Damn, pretty embarassing for TL. I wished Snute didn't accept the invitation. Now koreans will look upon TL. TL had such a good reputation in Korea. Snute is ruining it.

Of course there are foreigners in the top50. If you think that there are 50 koreans on the level of innovation or better, than you're delusional...
Someone like True or Terminator would have been an easier opponent for snute, and those two are currently also in the wcs top 50.
On July 10 2015 19:14 Musicus wrote: Both games the build orders were just really bad for Snute .
Seems like Snute hasn't studies the way innovation plays. Maybe he took this as a vacation?
Of course not, but how much time did he really have between HSC and flying to Korea?
Arent there people to do this kind of research, like the coach or teammates?
what should they tell him? "Innovation is going to go mech on Vaani 100%!" Lol, Innovation is not a one-trick pony. Good Terrans play both Mech and Bio. You can't know without scouting and in both games innovation very cleverly put the clues out so that it looked like the opposite of what he was doing.

I think foreigners can very realisticly be in the top 50, just not for that long. Besides Stephano and Naniwa (and partially Huk, Jinro etc i guess) it has always only been one or two good tournament runs and then back into line of "kinda good but not compared to koreans".

It doesn't? It's basically the same on twitch with another 600+ viewers on azubu for SSL?
the fact still remains almost as many people would rather watch blurry roach silhouettes run into each other than a sick mech-heavy ZvT between a foreigner and a star player in great quality

not with hydras
I don't understand why Snute plays so hydra heavy... that's not what he usually does. And it is not going as it usually does.

Snute didnt need to fight then, Inno had 0 mining or very little and snute had a spore crawler forest and mining bases he just needed to keep dancing around pulling things with the vipers and drain innos bank then fight. Maybe he thought he was more ahead than he was after taking those bases out?

idk i would have loved to see Mlord in a TvT or lilbow against a 2nd tier korean. even if the result wouldn't have been different.
The problem is that you can't pick your opponents. I guess Snute would have loved another opponent as well, Mlord and Lilbow would probably have also been defeated easily by a top Code S korean
Hahahahahahha that was even more predictable than a forgg game, and just as retarded and frustrating to watch, I SALUTE YOU DAVID KIM FOR ACTUALLY WANTING THIS
Eventhough he lost 3-0 Snute played very well...game 2 doesn't count as it was a stomp...but game 1 and 3 where pretty close......still late game mech in the hands of Inno is almost invincible...almost...

Well that sounds cool in theory but it's not like there are only BCs and I neural doesn't hold that long, you can never neural all BCs at the same time either, many Infestors will die to yamatos immediately after the pulls. Vipers will also die to Vikings and more infstors to tanks moving in.
If you can catch 10 BCs alone and pull them into a spore forest while neuraling them, yes they are beatable of course .
Well I bet if we see Marinelord vs Dark ( best foreign mecher against very very strong Zerg), Dark would make Mech looking rubbish at all. There is a lvl difference between Inno and Snute and I dont know why the global seed allways gets one of the hardes opponents... there would have been way easier targets like Heart. And a Snute against Heart Mech or Heart Bio would have been won by Snute.

Exactly. He played it well, but no way to beat a well played late game mech. Should have done some more damage before.
fungal +5 or +10 dmg to mech and air terran units. Zerg has absolutely nothing since sh nerf. The only one way to win vs t and p is to have infinite units nowadays.

The "disrespect the foreigner" move is normally a super-fast cheese. Innovation never did that. I doubt they'd have decided late-game Mech was a "good way" to beat Snute if they weren't worried about losing in other phases. The match planning of the Korean leagues is normally pretty impressive. (And it's normally noticeable when the planning is better than the execution)

I feel like the real overlooked MVP unit of the last snute game were the 8 swarmhosts. The unit supposed to be most cost efficient in the zerg army paid for themselves by killing 2 random sieged and clouded tanks without support, was pretty impressive tbh

The zerg took some kind of damage from the pre-banshee pressure, therefore he will definitily take damage from the banshees, and then its ALL OGRE CUS MECH
I actually kinda want this to be a more high profile forgg vs zerg maych where he does a randomly decided hellbat pressure into cloak banshee into win every game
Since foreigners stopped coming to Korea I think there is no point in inviting them - if they don't have even a week of practice in Korea it's pretty much a walkover.

I agree, Harstem will stay in Korea for a longer period I think. Maybe he gets a seed after he got to train for some months.

I liked reading everyone ripping on Snute as if he's not a great Starcraft player in his own right. Okay, he's losing to Inno on home turf, big surprise. At least he showed up and played his games.

he shouldn't tbh. it was pretty encouraging for him despite the result. inno is part of a team that is pretty much playing the matchup at the highest level and he didn't get embarassed like even some koreans could have been.

I agree that he shouldn't feel down on himself for losing to Innovation, but you have to remember that his lack of motivation was made apparent to us via Twitter when he got knocked out of HSC. It definitely feels like he's in a bit of a rut.
Does anyone know if it's a good idea to take a break in eSports, and come back when you're more prepared? I know that Bisu did it once season, and came back to have the highest-ever amount of Proleague wins.

As far as foreigners are concerned, I don't think there have been true "breaks". There have been temporary game-switches however (NaNiwa, Scarlett), with not much success when coming back
