I'd rather take a random master player that actually talks about the game, and what goes on in terms of scouting, tech paths, expos etc. Most other commentators do that (at least more than tasteless).

don't forget a crazy chase... because if there's one thing that people that don't have enough oil (or water - haven't actually watched) need is to waste it on going full throttle.

I personally don't care as scouting and other basic stuff as I can clearly see that from the game. I do agree with you, but I think that's too harsh as tasteless was on point at Hot6ix cup last year.
Tasteless has his own ways to cast and people either love him or hate him for it. However, I personally can't stand Valdes and even Mooglade at times because they are really forgetful about past matches, which could be essentiel (did the players play against each other? if so, how did they prepare and so on). Worse, they exaggerate a lot which I feel is very childish.

I cannot agree more. I really hate when they are describing what I see on the screen. It's not a radio, damn it! Sometimes you just want to enjoy the silence because words like violence break the silence

i really like moonglade and he's an awesome in game caster but i agree with the criticism about how they tend to forget about past matches. like i've seen them forget about a game they casted 2 days before. i just feel overall the standard of the casters in korea is dropping whether through effort or something else. and if you criticize them they get extremely defensive and start with their angry nerd impressions. currently nathanias and apollo are the best casters around since they do the research and have excellent game knowledge.

From my soccer background - I don't mind this type of commentary, when you have some funny story, weird story, player background etc., because you see what's happening and when there's some action then you switch to the actual game Because, well, "A passes to B, B passes to C, C passes to A, A passes to C, C passes to B... " is kinda boring
But I can live with radio cast too, as long as the caster knows who is who(I once watched a match where the caster switched the teams because he didn't know, that home team has the red colored shirts yay, awesome )

Deny mining time and try to kill Drones early. It will make them make the Pool faster if they planned to go 3 Hatch or Hatch Gas Pool but you should still win any ways. The mistake was letting 2 of his Zealots get surrounded with the 3rd in the distance.
curious should have closed it out earlier. i don't understand why he didn't just grab the colossus earlier near the third base instead of trying to corner them.

Because sOs landed excellent Feedbacks in those corner fights.

Kinda hopin' for sOs to lose, just so I can see MMA vs. sOs. Think that could be potentially be a really fun match.
What, this is considered the best casting duo for like 5 years? I guess it's not for everyone tho :p
Yeah, I know. Sometimes I feel like some folks enjoy it purely because of Stockholm syndrome. :D
Just feels like it's a "Tastosis Podcast" instead of an actual Starcraft cast, a lot of the time. If you like their humor, a podcast with a SC2 game in the background could be great, but if you don't it's slightly frustrating.

it's also just hard to keep things fresh for five years.
honestly that series was very fun to watch but both players were pretty sloppy in most of the engagements. didn't understand all the comments about "good micro"
that happens when you exhaust yourself in the early game with cute warp prism micro I guess. SoS really didn't wanted to build anything that can fight Broodlords though.

Uh, games like these don't happen very often at all.
Right now the ZvP mid game is boring as hell. The only reason why that matchup was fun from time to time is because Zerg had a lot of different strategies and unit compositions, even though Swarm Hosts were often involved. Right now, every ZvP I've seen is Roach Hydra into Roach Hydra Viper, and usually that's the point where the game ends for one side or another. You only manage to get Brood Lords if you are already ahead or if Protoss is letting you.

It was all about building mass of void rays. He had the money, he had the time. He scouted BL and he built 10+ zealots(those were killing the hive later).
Also not taking MSC with your army at the late game stage is seriously WTF. I can get it in the mid game, but in the late game it's not that useful in defending.
sOs defeated himself by wrong decisions, as usual, he does these "WTF" moves a lot

Well whole games had a ton of bad decisions from the both players.

Did he have that much money? I feel like he didn't and getting 2-3 Stargates and starting voidrays when your opponent still is so deep into roach/hydra/viper doesn't sound like the most smug move to me.
I think if you want to be able to transition into anti-broodlord on time and you don't want to open stargate, you need to skip on one of your two splash techs as protoss these days. Not so much relevant for this game, because that one was pretty freestyle play from both sides after the Immortal rush, but just in general.

I didn't even think this transition but it's smart. At first GSpire or BL scout, start air +1?

Uh nothing? He was always like this, he pretty much sucks compared to the rest of top Protoss players when he isn't mind-tricking his opponent or when his all-in fails.
@Big J -> sOs did have the money if he kept his MSC around for recall. Losing that many templars, keeping the armor upgrade going when it's kinda useless against b-lords, well... Otherwise yes, you have to skip the splash. I am personally skipping upgrades to get splash ASAP, it works in PvT too

Ravens have made a bit of a comeback in TvP, in that game MMA just happened to not make one and let observers camp around the map
Actually those Phoenixes sOs rolled out are pretty good at suppressing Ravens anyway

Ravens have not really anything to do with this. Back then, it was like observer flying in and Terrans very often noticing where they were and actually scanning to kill them

Some players probably aren't that good at spotting them. For others it's probably a question of "Is denying the observer vision actually worth 270 minerals right now?". And others probably just don't care.
Also I remember recently a TvP where a Terran kept dilligently scanning to see if an observer could see his army movements and he kept missing them by an inch every time (was that Flash vs herO on Vaani or am I tripping?).
