because that's how KT staff works.
There was once a time in BW PL where the coach kept sending out Flash in ace match and the round ended with 6-7 with I think all seven losses coming from ace match losses.
Once KT are fixed on an ace player they just keep sending him out and out till the season ends.

Last year KT sent Flash 5 times, Zest 3 and Stats 1. Not so fixed. This year tho all 7 ace matches were played by Zest, and lost 5 of them
I know nothing about coaching, but maybe it was Hoejja persuading HOT to make weird ace decisions? it certainly worked better than this year.

I wasn't around by that time  I'm just parroting others (that's why I phrased it as a question) and looked up to his 5-5 record last year on IM, a team that I think needed him more than KT this year.

I don't buy this "he just isn't a team league player" tbh.
Life is a world class sc2 player, so he should be doing well in any format you can throw at him imo.
Maybe the coaching staff is responsible too, but i would expect a way better proleague performance from "the best player in the world"

At this point zest should just straight up refuse to play ace matches. He already has lost a bunch of those. They don't send Flash for ace because he doesn't "feel ready". What about Life? What about TY or Stats?

Had such a good feeling after the first two games. Shame about Life losing his game. Maru beating Protoss is almost a given by now, so I can't understand why the coaches keep fielding Zest in the ace. Life next time, damn it.
